[Spider Venom]

Did someone teach you or did you teach yourself how to hack?

[PloCe]

teach myself but it take much time :/

[sophrosyne]

I taught myself by reading multiple forums and watching multiple videos. Haven't really had anyone teach me. Just read a lot and you should get the hang of things.

[Arcturus Mengsk]

I am self taught, along with reading up articles that others have written.

[Goodies]

I've taken classes and certs that have helped a lot. A real lot.

[Dadamam]

Self taught. I think as was the case for most people - you just pick up on stuff the more time you spend on the computer...

[ρãήžε®]

i came up with this method myself https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=3955823 I learned VB and servers through youtube and other people.

[/Jigsaw/]

Self taught. Probably the best way to as you will understand it better.

Well, it's 60/40 some you just stumble uppon. (60 = reading books) and some classes

[Imperious1]

Mostly self taught, read a lot off internet as well.

[Mr.Green™]

So many people writing that they know how to hack, wonder how many 0 days did they find. Just so you know Rating, Phishing, using common web exploits IS NOT hacking.

What books do you recommend a beginner should read to really get him/her started?

[Tirus]

I was initially motivated to start coding from a friend then I read tons of articles and e-books on it and then watched Youtube tutorials, so I was self taught I guess.

[trojan.]

Learned HTML and coding (Java, Ruby, Python etc.) myself, this "hacking" stuff I'm learning via HF as I'm starting to enjoy all of it as much as I enjoy coding/programming. :-)

[Supreme‌‌‌‌‌‌‌]

Self taught. However, I'm planning to take classes sometime in the future
