Welcome to The Empire Recruitment thread! The Empire is once again recruiting, looking for members that are hard working, active, and will a good member in the group. Members who were kicked or declined in the past recruitment are welcome to apply again. To elaborate on our other recruitment threads, we want to know more about you as a person. With that said, creating a video or voice application is HIGHLY recommended, but not required. Though it will most surely separate the members willing to go above the usual basic application format, and the ones who don't, so keep that in mind.

Members can nominate applicants for further review for the group, but even so, if you'd like to be one of the members to make it into the group, be positive that your application is full of effort and thought.

Basic Guidelines:

• Around 60+ posts per month of the account's age

Note: To elaborate on the general information, we want to know more about you, other than how "high quality" you are. Be sure to be truthful and honest in your application, this could make you or break your application. Remember, video and voice applications are highly recommended and those that create that type of application tend to have a higher chance at being accepted, but it is not necessarily required. I will repeat what Tibit and other Empire members have stated.

If you truly want into the Empire, prove it to us.
Show us that you DESERVE to be in the group.
I can promise you that you will appreciate the group if you are accepted.

Just some tips if you want your application to stand out:

Make your application unique.
Make it lengthy, but be sure for it to hold it's quality.
Use your personal skills to make the application: GFX, Gaming, Coding, etc. Show your specialty.
Be sure to use a set format, colors, themes, etc. Organized = good/ attention catching.

Show that you want in.
Again, the length can have something to do with the result of your conclusion, but ONLY if it holds quality from beginning to start.
Do a top 10 reasons why you want in, make a video application along with the required application.
Do far more than the required application asks for. Again, show us that you want to be a member of the Empire.

Alright, so when it comes to skills I like to think I am a jack of all trades kind of guy, I wouldn't go as far as to say I am particularly amazing at anything, but I certainly give everything a go at least once. My main 'skill' if you want to call it that, is customer service. When it comes to products, I know what the customer wants and I always make sure I uphold the standard of quality one would expect from a product and the support provided with it. I have knowledge of maintaining a small community and keeping it working in perfect condition, this has been gained by running my own forum. I am also involved in the customer support side of a hosting company, which is due for release any day now.

I am not proficient in graphics, but I am willing to learn if that is what is required of me, same goes for anything else.

Which section are you most active in and why? This is important as we will have specific sections of the group based on member interests.

According to my post activity, I am most active within the Website showcase and reviews section and I believe I know why. As mentioned before I not only like to uphold my own standards, but help people uphold their own. As I am a webmaster and owner of a forum, this is what interests me most of all. I like to help people grow their forum and help with any issues they may be having while building it. I believe I have the knowledge of what is essential whilst building a community as well as what it takes to stand out from the crowd.

Albeit I do not post in those sections much, I like to lurk in the lounge, graphics section, member disputes and innuendo. Mainly because these sections actually offer something different to read and take part in, and it really lets me get to know what the community is like as a whole without having to talk to every single person.

Why do you want to join The Empire in particular?:

The Empire. Hackforums' most prestigious group (in my eyes). Not only do you have the best userbar on-site, you also have a lot of amazingly knowledgeable members whom, again are among the best on-site. I am also a massive fan of the products that the group release and I would love a chance to be a part of the group if only to gain some experience.

Why do you personally feel you deserve to and should be accepted into The Empire?:

Tricky question, because of course everyone 'feels' like they should be accepted, right? To put it simply, I should be accepted because I am willing, I am willing to learn, to train, to better myself as a person and I am willing to prove myself no matter what the task. I try my best to keep myself to the highest quality I can be, and so far it seems to be working. Not once have I had a scam report opened on me as I define myself in being legitimate throughout what I do in life. Not once have I had a warning point against me, again because I understand what rules are and I know how to abide by them.

In one to three paragraphs, tell us a little bit about yourself personally or possibly something quite memorable that happened in your life, or an explanation of what makes you who you are and who are you:

I don't really know where to begin on this one tbh. A few years ago, my grandfather fell ill. I was only 14, and was naive to what was really going on, too wrapped up in my own life to notice. My mother sat me down and explained to me that he had cancer and that there was little chance he would survive. This crushed me, I could hear her talking in the background but my head was spinning, I couldn't talk, it was almost as if i was in a distant reality, looking down on what was happening.

My grandfather was and is to this day my hero, he was always the guy I looked up to and went to for advice whenever I needed it as I do not know my real dad. I started to go downhill, mad at life and angry at the thought of losing my only inspiration. By the time i was 17 I was fighting all the time, out drinking most nights and just causing a whole lot of shit for my family. Surprisingly my grandfather pulled through the cancer, but he developed Huntingtons' disease and is now in a wheelchair and can hardly talk.

I couldn't stop what I had begun, no matter how hard I tried. I was just getting worse and worse, until i met my current girlfriend not long after i turned 20. She showed me the way, that life wasn't what happened to you, it was what you make of it. With her support, I managed to move forward with my life. I am now a happier person, more content with life and closer to my grandfather than I have ever been. I promised him I would make him proud and I intend to stick at it and do him proud.

Where do your priorities in life lie? What is most important to you?

Family comes first, always. Anyone who puts their online life before real life people and problems need to sort their heads out. It should not happen like that. My girlfriend will always come before anything also, she knows what I do during the week is my time, and I dedicate my weekends to spending time with her and that will never be compromised.

However during the week, my time is split between maintaining and communicating with the community I have on my own forum and thinking of new projects. I am basically anyones within reason during the week as I often get bored, so am willing to join new projects etc.

What caused you to stay active and be part of the community on Hackforums after first joining?

I was overwhelmed at the whole 'hacking' side of the forum and I wanted to learn and make a name for myself, along with the fact I had just built my forum so I was looking for new members. I soon made HF my second home and I am glad I did. I managed to build up a strong reputation and made some new friends along the way. I love the community here and intend to be a part of it for the foreseeable future.

Well I can't shoot fireballs from my eyes or shoot an arrow at a bulls-eye, but I am a pair of extra hands if needed to be part of something. I have alot of online gaming experience and general monetizing strategies/methods from my experience. I guess my best skill is probably clarification, in terms of helping people understand points from different perspectives, even if it's the one that they are opposed too.

I am the most active in Gaming -> Computer/Online Gaming -> League of Legends sub forum. I love the game and I browse there every single day that I have access to a computer, and I still do. Nonetheless, other sections that I browse are The Lounge, Anime Adventures, Science Religions & Politics, and occasionally Personal Life.

The Empire seems like a prestigious community of individuals that I want to be in. There are other groups too, but I don't want to pay for membership as it kills the quality of those groups by letting anyone with deep enough pockets to enter. I haven't heard back from any other groups either, mainly because I believe that I'm a L33T with no rewards or insane 3-4 digit reps so my long applications are usually looked over.

I'm just a normal individual who likes to game and enjoy a good group of individuals to interact with, and I see many of those people in Empire while browsing the forums. I want to be part of a good community that are willing to help others not only because they get something out of it, but to just simply help them and improve the quality of responses and clarity for cloudy questions.

I have "common" courtesy but that's pretty rare these days, especially on most parts of these forums and I just feel like I deserve to be part of the more mature groups, other than "THAT" person who's a nobody telling us how things are done or how they're supposed to be done.

I go to college just like most "young" adults, love to play video games, watch anime, hang out with people and just enjoy good, quality time with friends. I guess what was memorable was that I had around 6-8 people watching me stream my little twitch channel a while back around New Years, it was pretty cool that people was tuning in, and I would like to continue streaming in the future.

I lived a pretty rough life especially with all these contradictions between what you need to do and morals on the line. I tend to stick to my morals and try to be the person that a guy down on his luck would want to into. Helping others so that they could return the favor to others.

I guess going to college as a safety net incase whatever I want to do fails... if I find out what I want to do. What's important to me would probably something that I would want to look back on one day and be like "Back then...I did ... it was a good time." I'm still debating what I want to do. (Gaming/ Dancing/ Construction+Building).

I stay active because I learned alot from Hack Forums just by reading threads. Reading news, getting killer steal deals, and entering free contests just for the heck of it just makes me want to also be part of the community too. Of course I don't have alot to start my own contests, have many products to sell or be the first to bring in shocking news, so I do my part and try to uphold the quality of the community with understandable, but simple HQ responses in most cases.
