[SOLVED] Cinema 4D question??

Yeah I know, I'm a Noob! I hope I'm in the right section, but i have a huge question dealing with Cinema 4D. I haven't been using this program long, and really haven't got a grasp on it yet. For some reason every time I go to either edit text, shapes, videos, etc.., when I try to enter Render View it will not go stay in Render View; it just makes my picture go black, then when I click on it, it goes back to the blank white screen. Anyone up here know enough about Cinema 4D to answer my problem? I have tried reinstalling the program and that was a waist of time, so I'm thinking it has something to do with my settings. I'm running Cinema 4D R14 Studio if that helps.

I don't know about editing videos in C4D, haven't done anything like that if you even can..

As for your problem, screenshots will really help here. Only thing I can think of is that you might have Global Lighting on with no lights, or you have you default light turned off. You can change both of those in your render settings, if Global Lighting's on, turn it off; if not, check your Options subcategory and make sure the default light box is checked.

If Global lighting is off and your default light is on, I don't really know what's up with it. Screen shots will probably help~

Yeah Global Lighting was off and Default light was already on, so no progress so far.
Images are up 😉 Thanks for reminding me to put them up there. It slipped my mind when I was making the post 👍

[SOLVED] Finally found what I was looking for. I eventually went to Edit>Preferences>Unclicked OpenGL, once I did that I could finally edit my text!!
