Hey guys! I'm a bit stuck on how to write a program that can build an .exe file. I already have the output program built that I guess that you can call a stub, but how will I go about building a builder to generate that? The reason why I need this builder is because I would like users to be able to customize the stub, like adding their own labels to the Windows forms and etc. I can't find any tutorials out there about this, so I was wondering if you guys knew. Thanks! Example projects are also welcome.

If you have it all set out, Press F6 and it should create a debug file (the .exe) and then the folder your Debug is set it, it will place the .exe in there (Feb 9, 2014 01:07 PM)Mula B Wrote: If you have it all set out, Press F6 and it should create a debug file (the .exe) and then the folder your Debug is set it, it will place the .exe in there I think he is more or less talking about generating a unique stub based upon the user's selected settings. I don't think he is talking about just generating a debug .exe file within VS default folder paths. OP, you should use CodeDOM for this. |
