Best os for this netbook?

hey so I wanna put a os on here but idk what one, what do you guys think?

Linux? Or Chrome OS is an option too. (I think)
You could go with Linux mint. It's light and good.
Now I know what you meant when you said you will lose something valuable.
Stupid Acer Aspire One, I hate them. They can't even run Windows 7 Starter 32-bits properly. You should definitely put a light-weight GNU/Linux distro on it without no hesitation. Like Damn Small Linux or Puppy Linux.

My era of providing technical support and malware removal on HackForums is over, so you can stop PM'ing me about it. Sorry.
I have an Acer Aspire one and love it for Kali Linux or Ubuntu, recommend upgrading the RAM to 2GB it helps a lot on performance.
Lubuntu or Crunchbang. Both lightweight and work well on netbooks.
Firstly Upgrade the RAM mate.

If you like Window's then they run fine with XP.
Vista Sux anyway.
7's not much chop on Netbook's with stuff all RAM.

Personally I love Backtrack and / or Kali with Acer's.
Make's for a very nice lightweight mobile hacking device.

Make a Live USB and see how it run's with whatever you choose first.

Upgrade the RAM. 😉
I wonder if Ubuntu's netbook version would work on this.

Also, you could always do Kali running on a live USB, as someone already suggested.
Ubuntu is what I ran on my asus eee
Do not install XP. It is going to be full of holes once M$ stops releasing security patches for it.

Try a lightweight Linux distro. There are lots out there to try. Google is your best option for finding out more information on Linux.

ChromeOS is Linux.. But I do recommend Linux in general. Doesn't matter what distribution is chosen, because every distribution is different, and it depends on what you want to use your Linux installation for. Each distribution can serve a different purpose. I often times find myself recommending Ubuntu, because I use it so much, but I also haven't gone distro hunting. But for beginners or those who lack an advanced *nix knowledge, I would recommend Mint or Ubuntu. Both are good so I won't recommend one over the other, but dual-booting is also an option.
