Jailbreak tutorial! | Support thread. Ask questions here!

I have seen FAR TO MANY threads asking about jailbreaking and how to do it etc.
First off yes, Tick made a great tutorial but I personally don't think there was enough information to really help anyone, so I am composing this thread. Please post any questions and I will try to help you as best as I can!

Things you'll need:
A Budget of at the very least $70 USD
A USB
A laptop and some skill with it.

Here are videos you NEED to watch before anything.

Getting started:
1. Is jailbreaking a PS3 on 4.55 possible?

2. Where to buy a 3.55 PS3

After you have watched these move onto these

Initial jailbreaking:
1. How to jailbreak

2. How to QA flag your PS3: VERY IMPORTANT!

And there, you are done jailbreaking. But if you would like to mod games like Ghosts and Black Ops 2 continue reading.

INSTALLING REBUG

Installing Rebug and converting from CEX to DEX:
1. How to install Rebug

2. Convert from CEX to DEX

I recommend switching from Rebug to ITA but ITA is a DEX only firmware so you will still need to install Rebug and convert from CEX to DEX.

Converting from REBUG to ITA

Here is the tutorial for doing so:
1. Convert from DEX Rebug to ITA

Note: I do not take credit for these videos credit goes to MzBomb3rZz. If you have any questions feel free to PM me or post here.
Vouch for this. I'm sick of people asking how to jailbreak as well
Still seeing threads about this because people are to stupid to read. Wow POST ALL of your PS3 modding questions in this thread!
I've never QA-flagged my jailbroken PS3
I can do (close to) whatever on it, what's QA-flagging?

It makes it a a lot more easy to downgrade your PS3 from say 4.55 CFW back to 3.55 to install a different firmware instead of having to install rogeros 99999 update or whatever then going back down. QA flagging redcuces the chance of bricking your PS3 during that process. 🤝
do i need a e3 flasher?
i'm a noob i don't know lool

What...
I honestly have NEVER installed a QA-flagger thingy but I have went from 4.30 CEX to 3.55 OFW to 4.55 CEX and down again
No problems what so ever, and no need for 9.99

If you're on a CFW already no. If you have not jailbroken your PS3 then yes you will need an E3 Flasher or someone who has one to do it for you. Please refer to the downgrade section on the OP. 🤝
Yea I heard now if you want to downgrade you have to send it into psn itself

Idk if I want to do that just to jailbreak it

Hopefully I don't but I'm gonna try and follow this tutorial and hopeefully

Jailbreak my ps3 and have some fun with it
Is there any way to keep the "Install other OS" feature when jailbreaking? I'm on a very, very old OFW (2.79 I think) and the update to 3.55 would take this feature away if I'm not mistaken. Is there any way to either preserve this feature or is there a different way to do it once you are jailbroken through homebrew apps or something...
Highly appriciate any answers.

I'm having issues viewing the videos you linked... Could another user try clicking the link right now to verify if they are still good and my browser is just messing up?
Much appriciated.
There is a Full tutorial on youtube for this.

The other OS is what the jailbreak is using so you will not lose it. 🤝
It must be your browser, sorry.
Thanks for posting, this was a great tutorial.

Thanks! Always happy to help the community out!
I see questions about this daily so I think this should get a sticky.
But again, thanks for the feed back, it's much appreciated 🤝
