Unless you're making modifications to the server files, I'm pretty sure that that does not matter, but you could always just put the 1.7.2 server jar in and decompile, then it should work (remember to save your work before hand). Your files should be in the reof folder, but it's been a while since I've does this so I can't remember correctly. If no one here responds, I'd recommend going to the Griefing section, even if you have not made a hacked client etc. They should be able to help you.

Try opening opening the mcp workspace in eclipse and recompile with that

It's not a problem. Just run reobfuscate after you run recompile and check the 'reob' folder. It will contain class files of all the modifcations you made.
