hope someone can help me out on this.

So basically what happened a co-worker and friend of mine got banned for:

"You cannot buy, sell, trade, or offer services outside the Marketplace. Violation earns an automatic 3-day ban. Read the Help Documents upon return."

Which is a common ban reason and I understand it for the most parts.

However he was just announcing a free class (session) where anyone can join the livestream and watch - I've seen plenty posts of giving free information on Monetization area and it always was in agreement with the rules.

Why the CPA classes wouldn't be?

And, if they are not, which would be a proper section to post free classes into, I don't see any area in Marketplace which would cover that, as they are all about sells or trades.

Did he offer any kind of paid services in the thread or say something like "We also offer paid classes"? I suggest you contact the Staff member who gave the ban though.

There was nothing with payments involved , 100%.
If I can contact the staff member I'll definitely do it, I was just worried if I am allowed to ask, I always have an imagination of big guys which don't like to be disturbed :)

Actually, they probably won't tell you anything. He might as well wait out the ban and PM Staff himself. Or, he can use the contact form, but that will probably take longer than 3 days: https://hackforums.net/contact.php

When the ban is over, have the user take it up with the Staff member who issued the ban/warning.
