Help with domain name? How to choose a good domain name?

Today hostgator is offer $0.01 hosting + domain (of any .com choice) for one month.

I am looking to practice php + html + css, having that good of a coupon is almost to good.

I wanna make a forums site (nothing like Hack Forums) more like a craigslist style community. But that not the point.

How does one come up with a good domain? 3 - 5 characters? 4 webpages only? .net? .com? .what?

Any advice. Im a total newbie simply looking to practice. But I will not give up a deal like this.

- Thanks.
If you only want to practice, XAMPP is always a free choice.
The only way to come up with a suitable name is to think of what your forum stands for, is about, etc.
As vinciL said, XAMPP is a free way to get a live feed of your website (html, php, css, etc.) But as far as choosing a domain name, you need to find something unique, catchy, and something that actually describes your site. The title of your site should have a powerful keyword that can be used when you are using SEO and adwords.
Staff will never reach out to you off-site. We only communicate on HF.
I have 2 3 letter/ character domains if you would like to buy one. H2V.ORG & F9K.NET. But besides that if you would like to learn how to use html, php & css check out the sites below.
