Learning Graphics Design for Freelancing in Web Design?

Hey guys! So I am an aspiring web designer and realize I am going to need to get photoshop and start learning to use it! I have a few questions:

  1. Should I try to learn photoshop in some local computer classes or just online?
  2. Would buying subscriptions to video vlog tutorials that are out there be worth it?
  3. Would I need anything like a graphics tablet or something similar?
  4. How much has graphics helped any web designers reading this?
1. Online is best.
2. Not worth it to be honest.
3. If you like to, its completely up to you, but to some its very helpful.
4. idk

Ok, Thanks! Yeah, with online I can go at my own pace. If I am doing online, I want quality videos and would rather pay $80/month or something haha. Not good with drawing so good thing about the tablet.

Thanks for a helpful answer.
Buying a tablet is depends on what you're trying to do, like if you're doing logos it would not be that useful. But if you're going to do like drawing or painting, getting a tablet is definitely a great choice. I suggest buying wacom tablet they are really good and trusted, though you can buy a cheap one, so you can get the "feel" for it. And for learning photoshop, well I learned photoshop by my own, just watch and follow tutorials on youtube, you'll learn faster.

I would be making logos, sub-headers, Icons, and other useful things clients tend to want. Yeah, I think I will read a tutorial every once in a while but learn on my own because I want my own "unique" graphics style, and not similar to anyone on HF's or whereever.

Learn online, free is always the best option and its easier.
Buying anything isn't necessary on the internet, everything is free that you need! Again, unless your gonna be drawing characters or something its not worth buying.
I'm a graphics designer myself, with a few friends we freelance across a couple websites, youtube etc. One of my partners, StingFX has a shop on here, making around $500 weekly, maybe more and it's not a exaggeration. We also do alot of web development, so graphics is defiantly beneficial for us! Heres something we was working on lately.

Have a nice day and good luck!
