So I had a thought for HF..

Do you guys think people that "try" to suicide but doesn't die really don't want to die?

I mean if you are gonna kill yourself.. Wouldn't you take 30 of the pills you are using instead of 3 or 4 or go up 2 more stories if your jumping etc etc

This is pretty accurate too be honest, usually people that try to kill themselves(mainly teenagers) using pills are just trying to cry out for attention. If you really want to die don't be a bitch about it and blow your damn head off or some brutal shit like that.

It obviously depends on the severity of the situation...If they try cutting their rest with a butter knife, obviously not. Jumping off a building and miraculously surviving, yes.

i think it depends on the situations, some people are just trying to get attentions others are just failing :o not on purpose, a lot of people are also stopped when attempting to commit suicide, for example my brother saved someone who threw herself on a train track (no as heroic as it sounds) or when people who overdose are rushed to hospital, as if they were not rushed to hospital they would die, and i think that is a bit to much of a gamble for someone who just wants attention :o

Some people just fail suicide out of being afraid to fail. Many are afraid of the pain they might endure and don't want to add pain just in case they somehow live and have a terrible life. Could you imagine if you were just high enough on a building to lay there in pain for 3 hours before dying?

There are some people that are actually trying but fail and others who are just looking for attention. I heard a story, not sure if it's true, of someone who shot themselves in the face with a shotgun and lived. As he pulled the trigger the gun slightly moved and shot his jaw off.

I think if they really wanted to die, they would do something that would surely kill them. If not, they would do something that is more iffy.

A majority of people who fail suicide immediately regret their attempt and never have suicidal action again. I'll try and find one of the studies on it.

Edit: I just re-read your post, are you asking if people who fail suicide aren't trying hard enough?

Listen buddy, I did hang myself,, It was just a struck of luck that some one found me and cut me down,, which resulted in me falling out from the balcony from which I hung myself, landed on concrete, and crushed my skull.

One older friend of mine jumped infront of a train like 10 years ago and crushed more bones in his body than I knew we had, He was CRUSHED by that train!, he's now held up by full of screws and metal parts.

Another friend of mine jumped from the 6th floor down on hard concrete, head first! , but luckily hit another bacony on a floor below, spun around and landed on his legs which were broken along whith his hip bones.

Now what's your reply to that?

It's very easy to end your life successfully, if someone wanted to die they would. Eating everything in a medicene cabinet would kill you 99% of the time if you tried it.
