How do I prevent Skype Resolver?

Long story short my skype name is known by someone who might potentially abuse it.

Is there anyway I can prevent Skype Resolving?

I already did the Advance > Only contact connections
Use a VPN or use a proxy settings in Skype like legend7 suggested.
Also, creating a Skype via a VPN or a proxy is also good as the IP resolved for the creation IP will be the one of the VPN or the proxy.
But to be honest, the most secure way to prevent Skype resolvers is to not use Skype. Move to XMPP or IRC.

My era of providing technical support and malware removal on HackForums is over, so you can stop PM'ing me about it. Sorry.
Okay thanks awesome guys. The VPN idea sounds like a good idea.

But I just realized that he also has my League of Legends name which he can resolve as well.

I can only hope for the best, but I'm confident I'll be fine.

Thank you again for the answers.

This will take care of most resolvers, but SpeedResolve has figured out how to bypass it. If you want additional security, you can configure Skype to connect through a proxy: https://imgur.com/a/NpFdW

speed resolve can grab skypes even if proxy is configured in skype.

or just use skype on a 4G Device and not your pc
Use a VPN everytime you log into Skype, thats the best way to mask your real IP. There are plenty of free HQ/fast Vpn's out there ([censored] is a great one). Not sure how to fix your LoL issue I don't play that game and I am not familiar with its setup.

VPN or Proxies are your friend for this.

Hey, you can also buy blacklisting on skype resolving sites. I know it may not be that helpful but It is worth a try
Try using a VPN or a proxy mask. These two are fantastic solutions to skype resolvers due to it mask your external IP address. Experience.
