[TUTORIAL] SETUP AN OMNICOIN NODE ON WINDOWS VPS

CLICK HERE FOR [TUTORIAL] SETUP AN OMNICOIN NODE ON UNIX VPS

Hi, welcome to my tutorial on how to setup a node on a Windows Vps.
  • What's a node?
A node is a computer connected to the omnicoin network using a client that relays transactions to others. Each Omnicoin client currently running within the network is referred to as a Node of the system.
Nodes help speed up confirmations and add reliability to the network.
(If you are searching for a good quality/price VPS check my signature)

You can join the Omnicoin network by keeping full node software running on your computer or dedicated server. Full nodes are securing and relaying all users' transactions. They can be compared to the backbone of the network.

What's the advantage for a guy like me to do this exactly ?

No advantages.
Nodes help speed up confirmations and add reliability to the network.
They can be compared to the backbone of the network.

Personally I run a supernode for free. Is just an achievement for me. Helping Omnicoin network.

Yes, but in the same you can mine too, you can setup it as a VPN, you can use it as backup service, you can use it as hosting, tor relay, etc...
Wow really nice tutorial, would love to see some more threads like this!
Just purchased a server from your signature to set up a node right away😁

Good Job dude! BTW I suggest you use UNIX and follow my other tutorial: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=4212850

Ps: remember to pm OMC staff to add your node to the official list ;)

Vps mining is not that good imho.
1- Most of vps hosters disallow mining
2- Vps mines with CPU, CPU mining = shit
3- If you want to mine i advice you to buy a rig
