Welcome to Kaoxic's doxing tutorial, i use these methods to dox people, and it work pretty good!
First, you want to look at the profile/name he or she has. It's also pretty important to think about what kind of person they are. Let's say the person is someone who likes to do gamebattles, he would probably have a skype.
Alot of people do have a skype, a really easy thing to do, is resolve their skype IP, and resolve their skypes with their IP. This can be done on the skype resolver below.
Some people might use a VPN on their skype, but their old IP could be saved. Also think about in what country they live, this makes it much easier. Most of the time you can find this on their profile.
Now, when you got their username/profile name, we're gonna search for some more information. I really like those sites:
www.pipl.com Can be usefull with an email or username.
www.tineye.com Reverse image searching, this can be used to trace back custom avatars or images.
www.zabasearch.com Another lovely search area when you have more information.
www.lullar.com is amazing if you can get their email.
http://whois.domaintools.com if you can get their IP.
www.ip-address.org/tracer/ip-whois.php Nice IP Tool, same as above.
http://whois.net/ip-address-lookup/ Same as above, but different sites.
www.BlackBookonline.info Lookup for illegal activities done in area's.

This shouldn't be a big problem in a lot of cases, if the user uses skype, simply use a skype resolver. You can also use an IP logger, and use the Google redirect exploit above. I really like that method.
You can also combine Skype And Wireshark to sniff the IP, this requires a basic knowledge of Wireshark.

There are many methods of pulling information off an Ip, most common trick that I will share with you today, is geolocation and isp information. This also includes a varient of ISP doxing.
Once you have pulled the persons IP Address through a skype resolver, or a trick website. You may then proceed to order a whois on the IP. This can be done through the sites listed above.

Obviously you arn't going to find all his real information just from skype. This is why it's recommended to use some handy searching tools such as google. Say you met a guy named Yourmother12345 on skype, he has his profile closed, but you know his skype name. You could commence to open up chrome and search for Skype:Yourmother12345 in the search box, this would give results where he left his skype, this can be for multiple reasons. Maybe even to talk, this could yeild an online profile, an old alias, a community he owns or maybe even a facebook account. What it will now do is say: Hey Facebook, this is skype here, mind taking all of my contacts, leeching their
emails and searching for them, then putting them in a scroll down area. Then, a simple box where you can scroll in will be presented, simply CTRL+F for a search box, put your victims name in and see if he has a FB connected to his skype. If he does, you're one step closer to the full Dox. You can now go to his profile by searching his profile, look through his friends and put his last name in there, then search for his parents.

You have sent 0.01$ to (Name) This can be very usefull, because you will get the name really quickly, all you have to do is geolocate from an IP you got, Look at his area, country or search on www.Anywho.com and get his adress like that. You can also trick him into selling a product to him (Can be fake) and he will give you his adress, but be aware, you have a chance this is fake.
It's all about Social engineering. You basicly want to convince the target, your him. Everyone has a heart, so do they. Try to make them emotional, ask why your internet is down and not up. Say things like: My daughter got too late at school because she couldn't check her school website, and now she is mad at me and has to cry! Once you're doing is more, it will feel more natural.
