Hey community!

I am very sorry for posting about such a thing because it seems as if it would be easier to find the answer or some .pdfs of college books, but it's not.

I've been searching for this for about a week and even Yahoo Answers usually comes up with "Learn Javascript" while others say to learn a variation of C.

If anyone has any idea WHAT coding language I could learn to get started with making NON WEB-BASED APPLICATIONS FOR iPHONES AND ANDROID then please enlighten me. Thank you very very much!

I assume you're only just starting to learn how to code. If so you have a long way to go before you'll even be able to make simple apps. iOS uses Objective-C and Android uses Java. To develop for iOS you'll need a Mac computer.

Thanks for your response, Eruditus! I'll be sure to start learning Java right away and hopefully make it somewhere. I won't give up, haha! Anyways, thanks and have a good night.

Top 2 languages(excluding web based languages) I would say are obj C and Java. Both VERY helpful. For easy to learn languages, I would personalty say VB

I'm personally an Android developer so if you have any questions or get any errors in your code I'll be happy to help you out. Don't be afraid to give me a shout anytime. Good luck with your journey through Java and Android development soon enough.

Yea Obj-C and Java are the two major platforms for mobile app dev. However I believe there are frameworks out there that allow you to program in different languages if needed.
