So do i need to convert my .ipa apps to .deb to add to my repo ? or can i some how add .ipa apps to my repo without converting them to a .deb format?

You can only add .deb files to repp's. You can convert them to .ipa but it is flawed and can cause problems. But have a look at this link: http://xsellize.com/topic/116321-convert-ipa-to-deb
