[+Source] Personal Locker - File Encryption

This program allows you to encrypt plain text files using a cipher I threw together.
You also get to use your own key to encrypt with, so make sure you keep that to yourself.

The link leads to Dropbox, which has the source and a single EXE. I won't
post a virus scan because the source is contained with it. IF anyone finds
any bugs or whatever then be sure to post here or even PM me, either is fine.

Link the to Dropbox folder here.

Enjoy, and feedback/vouches are always welcome/
I was expected this to Encrypt files instead of just text documents buy yeye.

Suggestions
Make it faster!
It's super slow when encrypting large text files(Tested with a file with 5983kb)
And it still isn't done as the time i write this post.

Add support to encrypt other files such as .exe, .pdf etc...
A GUI would be nice, but i like how designed the option choices.

Good work :)

Edit:
The file is completed, but with a file size of 250 002 KB.
Not that impressed anymore.

Thanks for the feedback.
Sadly, it can only encrypt as fast as the program wants to run on your computer.
You could try putting the priority to high on Task Manager to perhaps speed it up.

Usually it takes A LOT less time with other FILE encrypters.
What kind of encryption method do you use ?

It's custom, it's completely original and very crappy. I could be more advanced about it but as long as it's protected I'm happy.

You can check the source, it's there for a reason.

It looks like you just got the integer value of each of the different char values. Why didn't you just run a foreach loop and create an array to hold each of the different values and then have the program create another array to just swap values to another char value and then run back through the program?

That way you then have a decrypt method and you scramble the text?

I just scanned it but damn it's not that pretty. Should revise it.
Looks very good, you should add command line support for a few things, here is how I would do the commands:

PersonalLocker.exe /b (enables backup of original files if you added this feature) /e (this means encrypt) -f (file list) "C:/Users/TestUser/Desktop/MySecretStuff.txt" (the file path to be encrypted) -p (this is the switch for the password) "myultrasecretpassword" (this is the actual password itself)
Why not encrypt exe's? Just read the bytes and store them as an exe that is encrypted then read them and decrypt them and save that as a new exe.

Simple enough ? ^
I've had a look at your code and your encryption method is a bit messy.
I suggest you to use an encryption like Rijindael or DES to encrypt them!
Also what's the point in using a StreamWriter when you have File.WriteAllBytes or File.WriteAllText functions in System.IO ?
Oh and also, using Rijindael or DES, you will be able to encrypt any kind of file, not only text.
