I have a Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 which I love, I recently got a pair of KRK Rokit 8 G3's and a KRK 10S sub from a friend and I'm looking to hook them up as monitors, I'm a little confused on how to do it.

Should I use XLR cables to connect:

Scarlett --2x XLR--> 10S --2 different XLR cables--> Left and Right Speaker

Or should I use:

Scarlett --2x 1/4" (from monitor ports)--> 10S --2 different XLR cables--> Left and Right Speaker

The picture below shows the XLR and the monitor ports (XLR on the very right and the monitor ports being the two ports with a white background)

I'm not sure, any suggestions?

Never mind, decided to get some 1/4" - XLR cables and use the second method. If there are dedicated monitor ports I should probably use them.
