How cool would it be to have a dynamic BTC price? For instance; you're selling a product for $50. You want to sell that item for BTC, but you are tired of updating your thread with the new BTC price.
That is were this suggestion comes in. You could use preev.com as a gateway to price, because it takes the average of four sites (?). Syntax could look like this:
[btcprice=50] - 50 would be the price in dollars obviously. It would then display something like this: 0,08399 BTC.
Fancy colors, maybe a logo.. I don't know.
Would this be useful? I'm sure it would help sellers update their prices dynamically. I know I would do this with my current sales thread.
Thanks for reading

I think this is a pretty cool idea, perhaps something with the Bitcoin Info page could be implemented.
Great suggestion bud, I could see this being implemented easily specially since we already have this: https://hackforums.net/btcv.php
Some bbtags for BTC would really simplify things in the marketplace.

I would love to see this added and think it'd be a great addition.
You have my full support for this.
I like this idea, however Omni will have to like it to even consider getting it implemented.

I don't see how Omni wouldn't like this. Pretty useful IMO.

Yes exactly. I am sure he can make a quick include for the page and just echo the price out (or whatever). PHP isn't my strongest side.
Why not use CoinPayments and price it yourself through their checkout? If you say it's $20 in BTC then you just set that at CP.

I am using Coinstant at the moment, but I made this suggestion because it would be nice to display the price on the thread. I have faced this "issue" a few times before.
The alternative is of course using a website, but then we're back at where we were before. Displaying the price on the thread is a bit better and prettier than telling people to "go to x and look at the price" or "go to preev and enter 50 dollars".
I think this would be really good to have because most people are gonna use BTC now.
Probably a nice idea, but this would only change it on the thread. If they had an "autobuy" system then the price should automatically reflect there (unless it was a strict BTC price, in which case this is still useless). For manual payments it helps slightly though, I don't think it's necessary but a nifty thing to have.

You can already use Coinstant for selling a product. You just enter the product details and a price, then a link or button and you can sell like that.
However, it is price showing on HF I want. I could create a cronjob that would replace an image with the price on it, but if my server gets attacked.. well that is no fun.

That is what I was thinking yeah. I was just using BTC as an example, because we have Preev to calculate the average price from four sites.
This sounds like an awesome idea. I'd love to see this implemented.

I like this idea.
This will make it better for the seller and the customer. Goes faster at both ends :)
