How to run multiple Skype accounts on a desktop

If you're E-Whoring etc, this might become in handy as if you would like to keep your main Skype open. Here's a way on how to do so on multiple operating systems.

[Image: fa829.png]Windows
  • Option 1: Open up '' Run ''. You can do so by going to Start > Run or press the Windows logo key on your keyboard and R on your keyboard at the same time. Now in the Run window, type the following command ( including the quotes ) and press OK or hit ENTER.

    For 32-bit operating systems:
    Code
    "C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe" /secondary

    For 64-bit operating systems:
    Code
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe" /secondary

And now a second Skype will open up and you should log-in as you normally do.

Note: If you've changed the installation path for Skype, then you’ll need to enter the correct path for the Skype.exe file.

  • Option 2:
Open up Notepad, if you cannot find where your Notepad is located at hit the Windows logo key on your keyboard and search for Notepad.
And now you'll have to type this following command line on the Notepad ( including the quotes ) .

For 32-bit operating systems:
Code
"C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe" /secondary

For 64-bit operating systems:
Code
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe" /secondary

Now once you've typed these following command line you'll have to save the file as .BAT. You can do so by pressing CTRL and S at the same time, or going to the file and heading over Save As. When you've saved the file as .BAT and named the file now whenever you open this .BAT it'll open another Skype client.

Mac OS X
  • Option 1: Open up Terminal if you don't know where Terminal is located at hit the search button and search for Terminal. Now once your Terminal is open you'll have to insert this following command line.

    Code
    sudo /Applications/Skype.app/Contents/MacOS/Skype

Note: If you've changed the installation path for Skype, then you’ll need to enter the correct path for the Skype.app file.

Once you hit enter if you've a password it'll ask for it just go ahead and type it, no characters will be shown when entering the password but you're actually entering them. Once that is done a new Skype client will open.

    Code

Note: If you've changed the installation path for Skype, then you’ll need to enter the correct path for the Skype.app file.

Save the file as .command once done you'll have to open Terminal. if you don't know where Terminal is located at hit the search button and search for Terminal. Now once your Terminal is open you'll have to insert this following command line.

    Code
    chmod u+x

Do not press enter, once you've typed the following command line followed by a space drag the .commad file into the Terminal window and press Enter. If you've a password set it'll be asked and remember when you type it no characters will be shown so don't worry you're still typing, once done hit enter. And now you can open the .command Skype file which is located where you've saved it as normal to have another Skype client.
Thanks for this, I probably will try it soon.
I already knew about this, therefore I can confirm it works. Nice post OP.
flux.
Very nice, uhhh. hacking tutorial..? Nah man but any way this will help the lazy fuckers that don't know how to use Google and spam the beginners hacking section asking how to do this.

I usually use a short cut to do this. To help you guys Right click skype -> create a short cut -> right click the short cut -> hit properities -> set it like I set it up -> add /secondary to the end of the shortcut -> and then run the shortcut each time.

I appreciate all the feedback, you can run more than two Skype accounts too if you're wondering. 🤝
I highly would recommend taking a read if you didn't know about this, because it's really useful when E-Whoring and of course other things.
I'll keep this thread back on the top, because it'll be useful for you later or sooner for all those who didn't know.
I honestly have been looking for this since I have one skype for sales, one skype for personal use. Thanks so much.
