What is the name of this software for SQL practice?

There is a software that they use in my college. I don't know it's name but I'll describe it:

1. We can type SQL command in command prompt.

2. We can open browser and put log in details and hence we can create tables and stuff, and practice in there.

It's NOT MySQL because I have Xampp and I know PHPMyAdmin.

This one is different. Oracle or something like that. Please help me.
____

EDIT: In that command prompt, we type:

connect sys
and then it says:

Connected

SQL> We type query here.

Does any body know this program?

You are most likely talking about oracle http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/develo...index.html ... You answered your question yourself, so, why the need to create a thread?
I installed that software but do you know what else will I need to get started with my practice?

I did some research and I came to know that we need database too.

Now I have downloaded the Express edition. Is it OK or should I go for Standard edition?

I doubt you'll need more than express...

Yes essentially there are 2 parts, the database engine (Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL) and then the management studio or tools to interact with the engine (Developer Tools, MySQL Workbench, SQL Server Management Studio)
