i made sure my port was listing on darkcomet (1604) BUT when i make my stub and i make sure i have the right stuff in the networks tab (my host and port) i create the stub BUT then when i open it (to test) it WONT WORK! nothing happens anyone have an idea why? i want to point out that when i make a stub without the NO-IP DUC thing and only with the default one (127.0.0.1) it works only on MY PC cuz i uploaded it to media fire with the 127.0.0.1 to test on my bros pc it dosent work.

so what im pointing out here is my stubs wont work with the no ip duc thing anyone know why??

another thing if i use the default ip (127.0.0.1) it WORKS ONLY ON MY PC


and for the no ip when i open the stub to test nothing happens but i know its running cuz when i try to delete it i have to end its process first (via task manager)

Are you using minimalist on dark comet? I had the same problems also when I started localhost worked but my no ip would not work on myself. A memeber on hackforums helped me out if you want i could give you some help later. I will be online in about 2 hours if you want some help i could help you through team viewer.

Setup a DNS at freedns.afraid.org and use that in place of the no-ip.Then download the wget script, or open the direct url updater every time you restart the pc or router.

That means the DNS is set to your ip already. Have you crypted it? It could be that a crypter corrupted your stub.

i crypted A stub with aegis cryptor (cuz it was free) BUT that was like 10 stub tests ago i also deleted the cryptor and re installed darkcomet

I can see that you have mostly setup correctly in that you have setup DC to listen on port 1604 which is fine. I can also see that when you tested the stub on your own computer using the ip 127.0.0.1 and it worked but not when you used the ip 127.0.0.1 on your bros pc.

I can understand your problem, the ip 127.0.0.1 (as you may already know) means "localhost" (which is your own computer). By placing this as the ip for the server to connect to, on your own computer is fine because it will connect to the "localhost" which is your own computer and also where you are running the DC client but if you use 127.0.0.1 for the server on your bros pc, the server will send the packets to his own pc, instead of your own where the DC client is located.

So, basically, if your bros pc is on the same network as your own then, in the servers ip connection you will want to put your ipv4 address. To find this you will want to open up a command prompt and type "ipconfig" then find your ipv4 address which will normally be near the top. Then you will want to use this as the servers connection point with the port 1604 (the one that DC is listening to)

As a result, if your bros pc is on the same network as your own, and you have used your ipv4 address instead of 127.0.0.1, your new slave should connect. In terms of No-IP, while your are just connecting to pc's on your own network, this is not necessary.

its alright lol your the first with a decent reply! thanks but i only use localhost on my pc which did work fine now im hearing no ip duc is bad so i deleted it and went to freedns.afraid and put that in the networks tab of my stub and i went to test it on my bros pc with no localhost just my dns and it sadly still didnt work this is so weird plz help and your saying if i put my ipv4 adress in my network thing in darkcomet it will work for my bros pc? but what about if i want to spread it on the internet and they are not connected to my network? im usually quite good at this but this problem got me good

and just to make sure when i port forward i put my ipv4 adress in local ip. BUT that address ALWAYS changes so i have to keep going back on the router and even sometimes when everything looks good i have to go back in to the router delete my forwarded port and restart because canyouseeme.org says connection refused

so if i use my stub with my dns on lets say mt friends pc on a diffrent network it should work but if im home only use ipv4 address? (like trying to rat my bros)

Goto whatismyip.com make sure your no-ip address has same ip. Port forward 1605 to your PCs local ip (in command type ipconfig your local address may resemble something like 192.168.1.10). In darkcomet make sure network field has the no-ip address and port is 1605 then do whatever you like for the other settings. Make sure you set your listening port to 1605 aswell.

Just a small note if your trying to use darkcomet through a VPN you need one on which you can port forward and the no-ip will need to be set to vpns's ip
