So I have been away from the forum for a while. I come back and see the same goddamn SH*T happening in the monetizing section.
"Make $300/day using this method. Cannot be saturated. Guaranteed or money back"
YAWNFEST! Lets have some home truths. The only people making money from paid ebooks are the ebook sellers. And after paying for the advertising, spending the time to write the ebook then dealing with all the whining customers who are making jack shit, its not worth it. ANYBODY can write a crock of shit ebook, get a handful of members to vouch then sit back and make a few hundred bucks. A FEW HUNDRED BUCKS IS F*CK ALL. Trust me, I know folk buying Ferrari's with money they make online and they'd rather stick their balls in a beartrap then tell you how they are doing it. They WILL NOT be telling you in a $50 ebook.
We want to know the methods YOU, PERSONALLY, have actually tried, however simple or sophisticated and whether they worked or not.
If people post HONEST information on this thread it might actually turn out to be a treasure trove of innovation and ideas.
If you post a load of BULLSH*T saying you made X amount of cash and to buy your ebook/method without any backstory or evidence whatsoever, I'm gonna go straight to your sales thread (or worse) and write "BULLSH*TTER" along with a link to your post on this thread. SPAM your sh*t elsewhere. And trust me, I have been doing this a long time and can sniff out a liar like a fart in an elevator. Downright COMMON SENSE and EXPERIENCE will tell us whether or not you made any money from your method, not photoshopped paypal screendumps.
Ok. Now that's over with I will graciously go first with a couple of stories. I suggest we structure the posts as thus:
1. The Method
2. Did it work
3. If not, in your opinion, why did it fail

Method 1.
Lost in Translation
Some time ago I met a guy on here through a currency exchange deal called Strider. Naturally we started talking and it came up that I had a bit of experience with coding wordpress plugins. Strider enjoyed fishing through several monetizing forums and picking up plugins. It therefore fell into place that he would send the more interesting snippets he found over to me to verify they did indeed do what they said and that they functioned with the latest versions of wordpress. A few of them piqued my interest and I formulated a plan on exactly how they could be combined to be monetized. Here is what I did:
I registered 6 domain names with TLD suffixes for different countries.
I got some reseller hosting, created 6 different wordpress installations and updated the nameservers.
I installed a plugin that would pull the stories from any RSS feed indicated.
I installed a plugin that would alter certain words and restructure the grammer of the story.
I installed a plugin that would run the story through google translate to match the story to the language of the TLD country.
This would then be posted on the site. The scripts would do this automatically about 10 times an hour.
Naturally, to get fresh content that traffic was looking for, I used news RSS feeds. The result was technically unique content in 6 different languages.
DID IT WORK?
Yes, for a short period of time. I ran the 6 sites for 6 weeks and the traffic was growing exponentially. The Japanese site was extremely popular and received almost the same amount of traffic as the remaining 5 sites. On the day that Steve Jobs died, the news was pulled and posted on to my sites and I made over £60 ($100) in one day, doing absolutely nothing, purely through genuine adsense clicks. Were the sites still running, I would probably now be driving a Ferrari (When I wasn't in my Lamborghini).
SO WHAT HAPPENED?
PANDA. This was done a few years ago when Google started gearing up their quality control. Although Google couldn't really call the sites LQ (as of course it would mean accepting that their translate app was poor), they stated that the functioning of the sites violated their Translate service TOS. I have no doubt in my mind that had this been running a few years before, I would have made a sh*t load of cash from this method before Google terminated my adsense account. Sh*t Happens.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Method 2.
The Break In
I was reading around the forum some time ago and formulated an idea based on several popular topics in discussion. The idea revolved around driving traffic through a survey gateway to unlock access to a website. Obviously the money was generated by the completed surveys. The trick was locking a website people were eager to access and matching the desires of the traffic to the site. So here is what I did:
I decided it would probably be best to target younger internet users as they would be more likely to complete the surveys. So I created two websites. The first was a fully functioning mockup of a celebrity agents website. This is a website that holds the contact information of a wide variety of celebrities and they are used by agents to contact known persons with job offers (These sites do actually exist). I hosted it on simple onshore hosting and it looked pretty kosher, even if I do say so myself.
The second website was a simple deface page. The page claimed to belong to a renowned hacker group claiming to have hacked into the celebrity database. The page contained several "proofs" backed up with "evidence" and obviously the survey portal to the members only section of the celebrity site.
But wait, there's more. . . . . .Such a break in would be high profile and a simple cursory internet search should corroborate the event, right? One of the methods I had championed myself in gaining backlinks was a way of writing a few articles and submitting them to 20 or so syndicated news sites. I called it the PR Backlink Method. It takes about 2 hours to do it properly but the stories get syndicated to over a million sites in less that four weeks. Naturally, I wrote articles about the break in and spammed the net with news myself. If you typed the unique names of either the celebrity database or deface page in google you would get page after page of results corroborating the event and linking back to the deface page.
So now that's set, what about the traffic?
This was the era when SpK was selling his YouTube botting wares (Its was decent sh*t at the time I might add). Naturally I purchased the software and got some YT accounts. I then created comments on popular music vids (Justin Bieber and the like) pointing out the break in and thumbed up the comments with the accounts. (This was nowhere near as widespread when I was doing this as it is now). The result, younger internet users checking the net to validate the story, then completing the surveys.
DID IT WORK?
Yes, for a short period of time. People did the surveys and I cashed in.
SO WHAT HAPPENED?
This was a dark time for getting YT accounts. Folk were selling YT accounts to one person and then reselling exactly the same accounts to several other people. This resulted in them lasting maybe a day if you were lucky before they were deleted by YT, AND they were LQ accounts at that. People on here were also scamming the f*ck out of other users over the YT accounts. Charging and not delivering on the accounts. One member tried this on me and scammed me for $20 or so. Given that I have been doing this shit for a LOOOONNNGGG time I found him online IRL in less than an hour and decided to be the bigger person after discovering his young age and leave it be. Had he tried this with some of the other experienced members of this forum he would probably have been explaining to his parents why people were paying for their Monte Carlo poolside Pina Coladas with his parents card details. YT was also getting wise and removing the accounts faster and faster. As such, it became more costly to obtain the accounts than what was being made by the surveys and the method became unprofitable.

I have more methods I have used which I shall add when more people contribute to this thread. Now its your turn. REAL STORIES. NO BULLSH*T.
