Before you read: I made these images for another forum and I am not in any way trying to advertise that forum. I just did not have time to re-create these images.

Today I will be teaching you how to animate your text!

Step One
Spoiler (Click to View)
Place the text you want to animate.
For this tutorial I will be animating "BuzzForums".

Put on whatever effect you want the text to have, then right click the layer and select "Rasterize Layer Type".

Step Two
Spoiler (Click to View)
Make a new layer and use the paint brush tool to paint a white line on the left of your text.
The size can be whatever but change the brush's softness to 0% and the opacity to 25.

Step Three
Spoiler (Click to View)
On the bottom of your page select this button.

Now move the white line to the right side of the text like so.

Step Four
Spoiler (Click to View)
On the bottom of the page you should have these two boxes, select them both by shift clicking each of them.

Now Press this.

A pop up window should open up, change the frames to add to 8.
Now right click the paint line layer and select "Create a clipping mask"

Step Five: Saving
File>Save For Web>Save

Good tutorial, try and post more images and bigger ones! Explaining is key. People are trying to learn to, not just "make it and done".
Cheers 🤝

Image size is good imo. Thanks for the tut! If you let me give advice I would add two things if I were you:

View -> Timeline (to show the timeline tool).

In Save for web set looping option to forever (most newbies might want to loop forever if we are talking about gifs).
