Mind fuck of the day: Are we or aren't we all leechers

Hi there,

This is the mindfuck thread of today it's not really a 100% mindfuck but thats in the case of how far am I willing to go in this discussion.

I've seen many people calling others leechers but aren't we all leechers?
We learnt from tutorials and stuff, recreate it but is it still leech?

This is my opinion about it:

Yes: The codes must have been written before/tested before by it's creators. Therefor they builded it way before us so we are leechers from them, not to mind the fact that we all need to google once in a while and pretty much daily based.

No: The creators of the language should not be counted in it, yet if the codes you found changed it to your own codes and you can explain it properly it can't really be called leech.

Share your opinions remember:
Do not swear, respect others opinions & have fun with this discussion.

Regards,
Mike M.
My understanding of a leecher is someone who receives but never gives back.
Basically someone who likes to benefit off others work but never contributes in the same sense.

I don't understand your opinions to be honest. Someone learning from tutorials and recreating whats thought in them isn't leeching.
Someone changing open source code isn't leeching either but someone acquiring/changing/using someone else's code without permission is simply stealing, it becomes stealing and leeching once the person isn't contributing.

I see your question as: "But aren't we all people who take and never give back"? Which isn't true for everyone, therefore everyone is not a leecher unless I got the definition of a leecher wrong.

You got some strong words, and yes but I've been called a leecher when I created something which was just by experimenting and they provided me with tutorial I never heard of. It reminded me of earlier so I decided to create this thread and check out the opinions
Lol no, those FREE tutorials and languages you use were made so people can develop with them.
I don't think that makes everyone a leecher, once you have learnt multiple things you can apply them in a combination to make somethig that has not been done before.

That's not true. Leeching is taking without giving. You are contributing, so it doesn't matter you use the free tutorials.
So its pretty much just being an asshole and calling others even through we all learn from such ways
