Red Bull Lawsuit - Free 10$ Check or 15$ in Red Bull Products

Update: The website is crashing intermittently. This is likely because this story has picked up a lot of steam and millions of people are simultaneously trying to collect their just-reward.

Chill out, you have until March 2nd to make your claim.

Apparently this link works directly with the claim. I was given this by another member here. I dont know about it, but looks legit
https://iqa.gcginc.com/rdb/

To receive a $10 cash payment or $15 in Red Bull products, you have to submit a claim form, or call 877-495-1568 and ask that it be sent to you by mail. No proof of purchase is necessary to receive payment.

Quote:The lawsuit was filed by customers who argued they were misled about the product's benefits, including the phrase, "Red Bull gives you wings."

Red Bull recently agreed to pay the money — totaling $13 million — to consumers to settle two consumer class-action lawsuits. Plaintiffs in the cases argued the company's marketing misrepresented the functionality and safety of the company's drinks.

Quote:As it turns out, Red Bull doesn't give you wings, it gives you heartburn, a sugar crash, and compensation for misleading you with advertising.
The class-action suit, filed last year in U.S. District Court of the Southern District of New York alleges that the energy drink manufacturer willfully mislead the public in claiming that its product would increase concentration and physical performance.

The main crux of the argument is that while Red Bull implies that their product is more effective than a cup of coffee at providing "energy" and charges a higher price-per-unit for it, there's not actually any scientific evidence to back that claim up.

From the suit: "Such deceptive conduct and practices mean that [Red Bull's] advertising and marketing is not just 'puffery,' but is instead deceptive and fraudulent and is therefore actionable,"

Of course, per corporate settlement tradition, Red Bull is admitting absolutely no wrongdoing in the case.

In an email to BevNet, the company had this to say: "Red Bull settled the lawsuit to avoid the cost and distraction of litigation. However, Red Bull maintains that its marketing and labeling have always been truthful and accurate, and denies any and all wrongdoing or liability."

1) Anyone who has purchased at least one Red Bull product between Jan 1, 2002 and October 3, 2014 qualifies (with the exceptions noted below)

2) No receipt is required. Choose $10 back or $15 in product:
Cash reimbursement of $10.00.
Free Red Bull products with a retail value of approximately $15.00.

There are four ways to submit a filled-out form:

• Online at http://energydrinksettlement.com/claim (filed online by no later than March 2, 2015)

• By e-mail to the Class Action Settlement Administrator at [email protected] (by no later than March 2, 2015)

• By fax to the Class Action Settlement Administrator at 844-553-1373 (by no later than March 2, 2015)

• By mail to the Class Action Settlement Administrator at Energy Drink Settlement, c/o GCG, P.O. Box 35123, Seattle, WA 98124-5123 (postmarked no later than March 2, 2015)

There will be a hearing on May 1, 2015, to decide whether the settlement will be approved by the court. The money and products will be distributed within 150 days if the settlement approved.

:) My co-workers and I did this, so we going get like 45$ in red bulls hopefully lol

13 million in cash so that means 1,300,000 people have to apply for the 10 cash check. Others who applied wont get the 10 but the 15$ coupon product, still win win regardless.
