So I'm starting to think that maybe doing 100% BTC only upgrades is a smart move. It will give members a more anonymous method of upgrading and prevent abuse from leaks or dumps in the future if by chance they happen. Because even our payment processor is subject to penetration.

I would have a zero percent reversal rate. I could do instant upgrading instead of manual inspection and manual upgrading.

However I'm not sure if members are ready for 100% BTC upgrading only.

So I'd like to open this discussion and get opinions.

I think it's a good idea, but in my opinion you should lower the price of upgrading if you're only going to be accepting bitcoin.

EDIT: It would be nice with the instant upgrades, but also it'd make it easier for multi-accounts to upgrade on other accounts.

Well currently i have no BTC but i was planning on buying it with Paypal. It's up to you because this would be more secure.

I agree that there should be BTC upgrades, however a lot of people don't use BTC so a 100% BTC upgrading only wouldn't fit HF.

If there is going to be a 100% BTC upgrade system then you need to do the same with donations, and I doubt this system will work then.
Just let users decide, if they want to stay annonymous then pay with bitcoins, if not pay with paypal.

For you, it would be a good idea as it's a non-reversible payment processor. However, not many people use BTC ...

Only BTC upgrades, that wouldn't fit HF as a community I don't think, I think there should however be an option to use BTC to upgrade. Just not 100% BTC.

I personally have nothing against it, but many of my friends, who are on HF and are upgraded, don't know how to use BTC. Exchanging from credit card to BTC is a long process. Most members don't want to exchange to someone who isn't L33T/UB3R, so it would be hard for that individual to exchange his money to BTC.

It would be easier for members who have "problems" with paypal too.

Some people don't fully use BTC, but this could easily be changed should they ever want to upgrade. All they have to do is make an account at blockchain and exchange PP for BTC. It's that simple.

It's a good idea, however it's not user friendly considering there's a lot of new members who never used it or don't know what it is.
Also increases the exchange requests, which is good and bad considering more new people could be scammed.

The only issue outside of losing sales, which does not affect me, is that converting currency to BTC generally costs us more.
I realize it's not your problem, but it might get in the way of people who don't constantly use cryptos.

One other thing to consider, although still not your problem, is limiting trading and upgrade services.
I'm sure, if this were implemented, people would constantly be using upgrade services (Paypal to someone to buy an upgrade for you)
Could end up being a slight disturbance.
