Brute-force password crack tool

FOR WINDOWS 7...

I asked a thread on this previously, and received replies pointing me towards Hydra - an Unix based program. I run Windows 7 (not my choice, believe me.) and the download for Cygwin takes way too long. Is there another tool similar to Hydra out there, but compatible with Windows?
Depends what you want to crack.. websites? windows passwords? things like ftp?
Try Cain and Able the only that i know but have a lot of stuff.

Please don't take this advice.
Most people use a tool called Sentry NBA.
There was a Windows version for Hydra, but it's hard to find. The website I got it from in the past is taken down.

Anyway, most good/decent tools are made for Linux. Besides a few exceptions you won't find that much good tools for Windows.
Windows just isn't a good OS for pen-testing.

Anyway, maybe you can find one in this list:
http://sectools.org/tag/crackers/

Brutus is I think the most used on Windows.
I'm trying to brute-force a username password combination for a website. Executes a .php file on submit.

Also, if I can't do much with windows, what is the bare minimum that I need to download from cygwin to run programs like Hydra?
My advice is to grab a pendrive and burn kali linux into it, a 4gb pendirev is enough for this click here to write kali to your pendrive (http://bit.ly [WARNING: potentially infected]/1zeLKqr).
On Kali Linux it is easier to crack any password.
Then click here: http://bit.ly [WARNING: potentially infected]/1zeLE1S (opens google), and show the "top 10" cracking tools.
For more help just pm me...

I see that you want to do under windows but it is much more easier using kali linux...
I'm not recommended windows for this.

Hydra is cross-platform. I would suggest to get Kali Linux if you're doing any kind of hacking etc. You should always have a Linux distro, Windows isn't the best choice. It would be a lot easier than installing the dependencies when needed for this type of work.

If you want the Windows version of Hydra, you can download it from here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/hydra75win32port

Navigate to directory of Hydra.
Example:
Code
cd c:\hydra-win
Run Hydra followed by your syntax. (-h for help)
Code
hydra.exe -h

If you want to brute-force website logins, go for Sentry MBA.
PM for help
