Corrupt USB

When I plug in my USB it says unrecognized device it wont let me format it and i even tried loww level format it wont let me do that either. i was wondering if anyone knew a fix to this, thanks in advance
I was having the same problem with my USB/external HDD. You may consider your USB trash, but first....

run a chkdsk and download CrystalDiskInfo and see what the health is on it.

Try reformatting your USB through Disk Management.

Well, does it shows up in Disk Management or the Diskpart utility ?

prob broke your pins. need to crack open the enclosure and resolder.. only 4 traces to redo.. rubberband or tape to stabilize it, then superglue the enclosure and your back up. unless it died on you.
Needs a good zero/one fill overwrite to clear up and restore allocated space.

Ok so i hadn't thought about that because it still had a signal on the computer but here's what happened i cracked it open and i belive is was the data - that was disconnected wich dont ask me how since it was one of the inner 2 pins and then i re soldered that and plugged it back in it only asked that i format it before i use it i did and now it works fine.

Looks like you might have damaged that USB physically (by throwing it around, dropping it, etc.) and these pins got loose. This makes me wonder if my USB is still working since I dropped it 2-3 times on the ground ... Oups.
Glad to know that the issue got solved 🙂
