[SRC] Killing [BSOD] Protected Processes njfix

Hello l3achran ✌

Oldest SRC BSOD

Code
Imports System.Runtime.InteropServices

Module DPProcessKiller
    <DllImport("ntdll")> _
    Private Function NtSetInformationProcess(ByVal hProcess As IntPtr, ByVal processInformationClass As Integer, ByRef processInformation As Integer, ByVal processInformationLength As Integer) As Integer
    End Function
    Sub Main()
        Try
            Process.EnterDebugMode()
        Catch ex As Exception
            Environment.Exit(0)
        End Try
        Console.WriteLine("Dev-Point Protected Process Killer | By Simon-Benyo")
a:
        Console.WriteLine()
        Console.Write("Please Enter Process Name (Without .exe) : ")
        Dim s As Integer = 0
        Dim ProcessPriorityClass As Integer = 29
        Dim lpProcessName As String = Console.ReadLine()
        For Each x As Process In Process.GetProcessesByName(lpProcessName)
            If NtSetInformationProcess(x.Handle, ProcessPriorityClass, s, Marshal.SizeOf(s)) = 0 Then
                x.Kill()
                Console.WriteLine("Killed :)")
            End If
        Next
        GoTo a
    End Sub

End Module

👍
not a protected process, it's just a process with the critical flag set, which you unsets.
Why would anyone anyways use that kind of "protective way"? you can just edit the DACL to deny others from accessing your application.
so when the processed is killed it will trigger BSOD ?
the code above kills a protected process, it doesn't protect a process/cause bsod
In my experience, just using process.kill() has seemed to stop protected processes for me.

Then they're not that protected are they?
