Premium Hacking Tutorials clean up thread

Omni has stated that he may remove the premium hacking tutorials section completely, so I have retracted this suggestion.

Hello Staff, Mentors and everyone else lurking in this section,

The Premium Hacking Tutorials needs a clean up. There are a lot of threads in there which should not be labelled as "premium", and a lot that aren't in there that should be. It really needs to be reorganized and updated.

This is HackForums, and a lot of people come here to learn how to hack. I know I am right in saying that the majority of members signed up because they wanted to learn how to hack. The Hacking Tutorials section is enormous now, and it is almost impossible to find the best tutorials there. The Premium Hacking Tutorials section should contain those threads for easy access, but at the moment most of the threads in that section are from 2011, and definitely not the best tutorials for the section.

Back when I was active in the Hacking area and lurking that section, I couldn't really base myself on any of the tutorials posted since they're either broken (screenshot tutorials) or the information they provide is now irrelevant, inaccurate or simple doesn't work anymore.

THINGS THAT NEED CHANGING

ADD: REMOVE: OTHER:
  • Unsticky the -[★★★]-Huge Collection & Compilation of Internet Tutorials, Tips & Tricks!-[★★★]- thread, because the section should not have stickies. All threads in this section are, in a sense, stickied threads from the Hacking Tutorials section. I literally went through the entire thread. The tips in there are interesting and useful, so it should be kept in premium section, but the "compilation" links are all useless. Any good tutorials I find I will add above, but this thread is not a hacking tutorial. It really should not be stickied.

Keep watching this thread. I will update this regularly with things that I think should be changed, so that any mentor or staff member can move the threads.

While I think about it, it would actually be really beneficial to go through the entire section of Hacking Tutorials, and junk all threads which are not tutorials. The section contains around 22,400 threads. A huge number of those threads are questions, not tutorials, so it would be a huge boost to the section if someone spent some time deleting all those threads.

This thread will remain closed by me, because no feedback is required from any member, and this thread does not need to be constantly brought to the top. I will reopen the thread to make edits to the main post, and then close it again. If you have a suggestion for the section, please PM me. If you are a mentor or staff member, please DO NOT open or close this thread, because that will prevent me from ever opening or closing it myself.
