Policy Question

Vouch copy review?

If you give someone a vouch copy and you make them to agree to give you a review and they don't give you one and instead run off with the vouch copy, is that against the rules? I gave him the vouch copy and made him agree to my terms by posting in the thread and he still hasn't delivered. If this indeed against the rules, I will post his profile.

I don't believe so, by giving a vouch copy, it's practically giving a free sample out. Of course it's courtesy to leave a review, but eh, can't expect it towards some people I guess.

"If you were to write a story with me in the lead role, it would certainly be a tragedy."
Kid's got offensive nobody reviewed their shitty ebook? Well then.
That's why you only give vouch copy's to people who have a decent amount of posts / rep. But I don't think it's against the rules really, not that I seen.

No this is not against the rules: however you can create a community warning in the marketplace.
Technically it would go under a deal dispute. You made a deal. So post a thread warning others. A deal doesnt always require money and a product. Instead of accepting money you wanted a review posted in your thread.
It sounds like you made a deal with a guy in which you gave someone a product in exchange for a service. And it sounds like said person didn't provide said service. Seems to me like that would fall under a deal dispute.

HF does not get involved in deal disputes.

I suggest you leave him appropriate reputation like "Requested vouch copy but did not write a review per our agreement."

You could if you feel it's appropriate also create a Deal Dispute thread.
