im hovering over it buy mine doesnt go away
That means that your internet sometimes gets limited.
When there is a yellow exclamation mark on network icon there should be no internet connection but you said you have internet connection that's weird you should reinstall or install latest version of the network card driver.

im using a ethernet cable maybe i should update my mobo software
It can be a lot of reasons.

It could be a DNS issue.

Have you tried plugging in the Ethernet cable directly to your modem to see if the problem is still there?

Check either the computer manufacturer website to find ethernet card driver or download the ethernet card driver from motherboard or ethernet card manufacturer website. Even do i say ethernet card you can also download ethernet controller driver from websites i previously mentioned.
