Also before starting this thread id just like to say this forum section is all about botting and 07, so i know I'm going to get some haters for this but really its the runescape section and i wish there was more rs3 stuff on here (its getting better) but oh well i guess.

To all of you people who think RS3 is shit!(i used to be one of you):

Well heres my story and why you should consider playing RS3 like i said i used to think it wasnt that great. When eoc came out i was so mad i just stopped playing for a couple months, i didn't want to learn all the new shit they added and was extremely mad the hp was in the thousands(like how 99 would be 9,900). after not playing at all for those months i came back because i loved the game and i gave eoc a try. I learned the ability stuff, did the combat tutorial and whatnot but just wasnt that fun anymore and i thought the game had just died. Lasted for a good 10+ years and i guess everything good has to come to an end(thats what i thought). Then 07 came out. i was so happy one of my childhood games is back like it used to be. i played 07 for about the first 3-5 months, got around a 1k total level earned myself some decent cash, back when it first started 1m 07 was around 50m rs3, so since the game was new i took advantage of that and found this awesome money maker. i saw rune axes going for about 300-400k and was like holy shit what drops those, its some evil tree spirit thing you had to do a couple quests and such there pretty high level but theres a safe spot that i used. made around 3m from this(super rich back then) but then i started to get bored, sadly i didn't know why! i loved playing it as a kid and such, but its just not like it was back in 2007. so i quit rs completely for a year and just came back november of 2014 and found this forum! :D so I've been playing RS3 ever since and let me just tell you i can't stop, its so much fun. i love eoc and finally see why jagex did this! i love how interactive it is! (07 is boring to me now i think because its too simple :(. the new skilling outfits you can get, and better yet its my original character from actual 2007. I'm here to tell you if you think RS3 is shit and havnt actually played it for a good amount of time because you just think its shit, then your ignorant and i don't have respect for you. now if you have and you truly think this then thats fine but GIVE IT A TRY!! (its harder if your a new player to runescape to get into to it) trust me if you have an original character its way more entertaining then 07 and you'll fall in love with RS3 like i did :)

Some Tips:
i recommend you find a clan that you can relate with my clan has kept me over these years and its so much fun playing with them on RS3, also i have a couple buddies who i played with back in 2007 who i got them back into RS3 and it couldn't be more fun without them!

Try to do some of these things ^ and i guarantee you'll like it!

one last thing i want the 07 and RS3 community to accept each other, if you don't like RS3 don't go post on rs3 threads saying its shit, like i don't give a fuck if you think that, don't tell me, ill like it either way. Also if you are one of those people just stop and understand that its a fun game (thats actually growing now) around 80k people online a day now(in RS3 only). i think it would be great if we could all just help out all runescape players 07, legacy mode(2012), or RS3. doesn't matter what you play :)

Something similar happened to me, when EoC came out I just stopped playing because I followed the "bandwagon" without even trying it, after around 4 months I came back and made 35mil at frost dragons in 2 weeks, I haven't had the time to play but as soon as I do I will I miss playing run escape

When eoc released, I admit that I quit because I didn't know how to play. It was really different and I didn't like it. I moved to private servers and eventually stopped playing. My favorite Runescape will always be 2011 Runescape :")

The day of EoC, I was going to quit. I started dropping all of my shit, convinced that I was done, but my clanmate took the stuff and convinced me to just give it a shot.

I don't know where he is now, Assume he's stopped since maxing, but I'm thankful he made me stay.

If anyone here is looking to get into Rs3, Check out the combat academy in Lumbridge, and maybe do a couple of slayer tasks to get used to your abilities, there are a lot of tips and tricks you can learn. Join a clan, or just hang out in an FC, the more active and accepting the better. I'm usually in 'Reddit' friends chat, and everyone there is pretty chill.

I will never give it a try. Once they changed Rune armours to something dumb / other armours I just gave up. Then when EoC finally hit I dropped EVERYTHING. I was maxed with 9-10 99's and just quit. Now I don't even play this game anymore I just browse this section to see what people have to say.

exactly! don't get me wrong i love 07 since its that OG game that i used to play back in the day(if you never played rs its hard to get into now) but i just see RS3 as really graphical and fun now :D

They ruined everything, i've played this game way before eoc came out.
I've played eoc for a while so that isnt why i quit the game.

What made me quit the game is;
Everything is getting too easy.
Spin wheel each day and get 10-50k xp most of the time in a skill of your own choice.
Membership prices went 1,50 euro a month up.
Community is dying.
Armour sucks.
There is no such thing anymore as cosmetic items, there is so many ingame now cause of solomon store that's it's all common.
Prices of allot of items have been dropped allot.
Walking? what is walking? we just use lodestone to get wherever we want which made runes much more useless too.
Jagex is too much involved with the community, this may seems like a good thing but no they're trying to hard. Pming streamers with jokes, fucking around with Jmod emotes only in open rs, killing players which are only warned on stream that they can be killed in that area (rs07) etc. i remember when it was really special to see a jmod, now it's more a private server thing.
Too much free xp ingame.

i see what your saying and i can agree to an extent, but the community is growing now for sure and i definitely don't get 50k a day actually wait not even 10k haha (and its treasure hunter now btw) but the game has got more easier and as an original player I'm kind of mad but at the same time happy because RS is a "time to win kind" of game and with someone who doesn't have that much time i like how small things like the lodestones make the game easier. it just simple things up for you, also love how you can zoom in and the rotating is much faster.

like after playing rs3 for this much time i tried going back to 07 and i just can't do it :/

also for the armor you get used to it and you can get the old school type of armor with loyalty points and from an og player you should have a lot of loyalty points, i know i do I've bought a couple outfits without spending any money
