How do I make my own search engine? I would like to code one in php.

the reasons why I wanted to make one is because I know that google likes to track people, so why not make one here The search engine doesn't track you. 🤝

There are quite a few anonymous search engines; however, it would be extremely hard to do so if you want to be extremely large scale. You would need thousands of GB to use and a large amount of bandwidth to crawl millions of webpages.

If you ask how to do it, you are probably not skilled enough to create it. Just use duckduckgo :)

As all of above guys say, if you don't know how to do it: don't begin with it.
You probably already fail at step 1; have tons of storage space, CPU power and data bandwidth.
Once you'll manage to have that, you can start to make the engine. This exists of 2 parts:
1. The crawler: This is the spider that visits every URL on the web. It also visits every URL it can find and goes on. Every week or while it checks the whole internet again. It stores every page in a very specific way, so you can find if quick in the database later. You can imagine how many bandwidth and storage space you'll need for this.
2. The search page: This searches trough the database with millions of records in a few milliseconds. Your database has to be indexed very well to create this.
