If today you are currently experiencing HF connection problems I may need your help in having them corrected.
This is what CF is asking for:
1. Screenshots of any errors they are experiencing
2. Traceroute from their location to hackforums.net (text only, no screenshots)
3. Output from visiting https://hackforums.net/cdn-cgi/trace in the web browser (text format)
4. Ray ID if shown on error
Yesterday an attack disrupted how Cloudflare was serving us and they haven't correctly undone whatever they did do. I've gotten lots of reports of connection problems.
So if you're one of those people please try to help me. PM me the details I requested above. Don't post them as they may contain your IP or other sensitive data.
Thank you.
Well, there's no RayID or any kind of errors except that Google Chrome always says: "This webpage is not available".
Personally, I must refresh the page 10-15 times in order to get it working again.
However, I'm sending you all the details right now through a PM.
Hope it gets fixed as soon as possible, good luck Omni.

Oh so that’s why I haven't been able to access HF for more than 5 minutes every hour 😠
I don't get any error messages either, just takes ages to load then it times out.
Should I PM you the output from https://hackforums.net/cdn-cgi/trace ?
Nothing special there, but if you want it I’ll send it right your way.

Any idea how big the attack was?
Must be a pretty big attack to mess up hf

Yeah, it would be better to sum all the info that you got in one PM. It would help Omni a lot when tracing problems.

This. It's fine for now.
I'll make a report with all the data if it happens again ;)
Let's hope to get this resolved
i was actually little sad, and had really actually nothing else todo, because hackforums was down
all i saw was the loader taking long time or request time out.
while try pinging hackforums to check it was up. i got avg 37.5ms. Why cloudflare why.
allso traceroute gave me fast response o.O
so well, thats my story.
I had some issues last night, haven't been today.
When I was able to to connect again, I was looking around for threads of people stating that they cannot connect ect, didn't see anything and went to bed.

Yes, that's what users are reporting. A browser time-out.
Please PM me this result in text format when it does happen:
3. Output from visiting https://hackforums.net/cdn-cgi/trace in the web browser (text format)
Unlucky me, lol. I'm still experiencing issues since yesterday night..
I've to refresh the page around 10-15 times else the page won't load. I've sent all the info to Omni.
TraceRT here is slow and I've a lot of asterisks instead of MS. (6 asterisks in total, 3 in 1 row = request timed out, and the others 2 are followed by MS)
I haven't experienced any kind of connection issue in the past 48 hours.

There again, i was changing my avatar and it went offline again, i will PM you the error again.
Was it a layer 7 attack or a layer 4 attack?

And why would anyone hack Hackforums?. Here is where most hackers were born.
