Group Blacklist

This has been suggested before, and only somewhat denied 4 years ago, and again 3 years ago.

https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?ti...id22494849

It has been 3 years and I don't see MyBB making a blacklist feature. This plugin would be somewhat identical to how the ignore feature works, but only for groups. You add somebody to the blacklist, and they will no longer be able to apply via usercp. Whether this is added to the actual usergroup cp as an extra choice besides Accept, Ignore, or Decline is up to Omni of course. This could also just be placed on the users profile down by the Ignore/Buddy list buttons.

Those are just my suggested areas of placing this option. The main point of this is to get the actual feature implemented 🤝

Would be a useful tool for group owners.
This would be great for getting rid of spammers who constantly apply.

I support this
not that my support really matters
I also fully support this idea and agree it would be beneficial for group owners.

I think omni denied it because the way mybb works with groups and it would be very challenging to implent something like this.

As a group leader I support this completely. A few tools such as this would be extremely helpful.
Really need this, tired of waking up to stupid amount of applications from trolls.
When i have view 'Blacliskt' i have think about the serie, good serie.
And yeah, good idea for the group blacklist.

I did not realize that this would be a troublesome feature to add. Nonetheless, it would very much be appreciated and most likely used by every group leader/owner.

Yes, this would be a wonderful feature. Most other features that leaders/owners would want can be achieved through userscripts such as mass alerts, deny all, etc.

I can somewhat understand why this would be useful for group owners.
The amount of trolls and probably new members who don't know what groups are, who then apply via the UserCP could easily be stopped if it happened to be implemented.

If only adding it wasn't so complex.

Yeah, it's stupid how many people apply and try to trick you into accepting them. I've had so many PM's and join requests with reasons like, "Hey, I took a vacation ban recently and it kicked me from the group. Can you add me back?" or reasons like, "Hey somebody removed me, add me back please." when they were never even in the group. 🤦‍♂

Then when you tell them they're denied acceptance or whatever they spam the join request and get their friends to make join requests. It's annoying.

You really should have more control of your group if you're going to be paying 5k+.

Vouch, hope it gets added!

If groups had the option to disable the apply through UserCP option that would be a great addition also. 99% of all members who apply to groups only through that way aren't added to the group anyways.

If this is easier, than possibly this feature. But Titans will be holding events which will require mass adding of members. We had 153 participants for the last event, and adding everybody by typing their username would be horrible. But if I turn on the UserCP Join Request, than anybody can apply and simply changing your username would be enough to get into the group. Even if you are on our private blacklist. We just don't have the time to check the blacklist and click on every single member that joins to make sure they aren't blacklisted.

I feel like having a blacklist feature would solve all of this and more for every group.
