OMC

OMC Lost Mid Transaction

So I tried to transfer some OMC from several of my addresses to one of them, typical practice as many of you know. Unfortunately I've encountered a problem and I'm not sure where this problem stems from. I'm using Abe's online wallet and this is the transaction:
https://omnicha.in/?transaction=a834cdd5...cddbaf0dde

As you can see it's attempting to send from 4 addresses to 1. It shows that the OMC has been taken from the 4 addresses but it shows the other address as being sent 0 OMC.

What confuses me even more is that I was able to find another address which had somehow received my OMC by mining a block.
https://omnicha.in/?transaction=abcb415b...bcd834d278

Did my OMC get lost on the network and somehow get found with another block? I've never seen anything like it and I'd like an explanation since it appears that I just lost nearly 70k OMC. I hope it's a misunderstanding or Abe's wallet isn't displaying my balance correctly but I'm completely lost at this point.

Edit: The transaction took place in the same block that it was 'mined' in. Looks like the transaction was used only as a network fee and not sent to my address...
Damn dude, that sucks. Hopefully someone knows what has happened.
Taking a look into this right now. I've disabled the wallet for the time being. Not sure what happened.

I believe it may have been the result of the wallet or an anomaly on the network. Your wallet doesn't allow me to set the transaction fee so it doesn't make sense it would all be given to the network. Not sure whether it matters but I was trying to send to an address that was within my wallet on your site.

Any idea who owns the address? It looks like somebody may have started using a new address for a pool so I'm hoping it's somebody who would be willing to return my OMC to me.
That's a lot of coins man.

I hope you get them back.
Best of luck to you on getting them back.

I figured out what happened. It was a bug in my code.

I was going to just refund you from my wallet, but I was able to contact the lucky person who mined the block and they are sending me back the OMC once it confirms.

It should be confirmed in around 4 hours.

Might be time for a code audit, hopefully that's the only existing bug for the wallet.

That's incredibly kind of them, might I ask who it is?

I gave the code a lookover and I don't see anything else that would be an issue.

The code is up on GitHub for everyone to see if they want to check for anything I missed. I'll be pushing my fix soon.

This is the first bug I've ever had in the wallet. I'm somewhat surprised it wasn't discovered sooner.

That was my thought as well once you mentioned it was a bug in the code. Do you have any usage statistics about your wallet? I'm sure others as well as myself would be very interested in seeing these.

I don't keep any logged data on them, but you can see the current stats here: https://omnicha.in/api?method=getwstats

Was curious how many active users there were and about stats regarding sent/receive coins. Hopefully down the road that'll be one of the improvements you make to your site. I say improvement because you've been building and improving it piece by piece since you started with OMC and it's come together to be an incredibly useful resource now.
Issues has been fixed: https://github.com/Omnicoin-Project/omni...b0aad9995f

I'm still awaiting review from Dr. Blue before I enable the wallet again.

If anyone wants to look over it, here ya go: https://github.com/Omnicoin-Project/omni...i.php#L232

The Omnicoin has been returned: https://omnicha.in/?transaction=54a78e49...c43181488d

I want to give a huge thanks to James Brown for stepping forward about it, and to MinerPools for sending the OMC back.
The OMC has indeed been returned. I'm glad no harm came from the bug in your wallet and instead was just an inconvenience.
The wallet is back up and running again too.
