I would recommend JAVA tho it runs on billions of devices on hardware from all ranges. It depends what hardware and how close to it you want to get.

I would recommend C, almost everything embedded supports it, if not everything

An 'AI' isn't a hardware. I'm pretty confused what you mean? Either way go C++ for sure, I haven't got into artificial intelligence but C++ is a pretty common standard coding model and it was the language used for examples in the book I read. Also if you're going for hardware C all the way, lower level and almost all embedded devices are programmed with it.

C/C++ is most likely the best choice. It would take quite a bit of effort to make a decent artificial intelligence system in x86 assembly. Fuckin' hard, actually.

I mean AI isn't a hardware so just wanted to clear that out first and then I would recommend either Java for high level AIs and C for anything that is low level. Even C++ would be a great option to consider.
