How to read a dstat
How to get a SSH server for 1 cent, NOT INTERSERVER. Thats gay.
Requirements:
A linux server / SSH server
Well... A brain.
Lets start.
Alright first of all.
Go to: http://hostgator.com/shared
Then choose one of the available plans, i recommend Business, i mean why not? Its 1 cent anyway.
Click on Sign Up Now!
Now you click on "I Already Own This Domain"
and just choose some random shit, the domain have to exist, and not anything like google.com
Now click on "Billing Cycle" And click 1 month.
Fill out the rest of the infomation
TIPS: Choose paypal as a payment option, if you choose Credit Card, they might charge you $7 next month.
If you dont wanna use your own email, use http://yopmail.com,
Untick all the Additional Services
For coupon code, enter: 1cent, and click activate!
Now agree to the T.O.S, and click Checkout Now!
Now you should recive a email from them, saying:
Thank you for your order with Hostgator!
You can now login to our online billing system to manage your account.
Hostgator Billing Portal: https://portal.hostgator.com
Login name / email address: "EMAIL"
Password: it36yo26zo
You can learn more about how to use the billing portal in our Knowledge Base: Billing Portal Overview
Again, thank you for your purchase with HostGator. Please don't hesitate to let us know if you need assistance.
Sincerely,
HostGator.com.
Just delete this email or what ever.
After some minutes, or hours if u are unlucky, you should recive a email from them again, with ALL your infomation. It should look like this:
Thank you for your order with HostGator.com!
You can login to our billing system at http://gbclient.hostgator.com/login, using the email address we sent this email to, and the password
Shared Plan: Business
Your Control Panel: https://gator4042.hostgator.com:2083
Username: YOUR USERNAME
Domain:
Password: YOUR PASS
1st Nameserver: ns8083.hostgator.com
2nd Nameserver: ns8084.hostgator.com
Server IP: YOUR SERVER IP
Alright, open your SSH client, i use putty. Enter the IP Address, and port is 2222.
Then enter ur login infomation.
Congratulations!!🤗 You got a SSH server for 1 cent :D,
Remember you can ALWAYS repeat these steps, and get more servers.
Alright, now for the Dstat part,
You still here? Great! Alright, type in "dstat" in your server, and if it says like command not found, then you will have to buy a new server, it a bunch of numbers gets there, thats great. Just keep it at that window, You will need these number later. Now you want to attack the server,
As you can see. The numbers will change from red or yellow to green, If it says, 50M / 50 of the green, that means 5.0 gbps, if it says 1 of the green, thats 100 mbps, etc... And if you got a DigitalOcean server, then its better, because the Hostgator ones, cant go overl like 11,7 GBPS, while the DigitalOcean ones have a graph, and it goes up to 100 gbps!
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial :)
Please leave a thanks, that would really make my day :)
