Delivering scaled image assets : Need help with optimizing image delivery (blogger)

I need to optimize the loading time of my blog homepage. There are a lot of small (thumbnail like) images that are displayed as 200x150 pixels but downloaded as 1000x750 pixels (approx. figures). Suggest solutions. Details can be seen in the pics below

(I checked the images of my website and this is what I found, lot of wastage).

Also, if you have the time, you can visit the website (blog) and tell me if there are any other improvements that can be made.

There are softwares that can create thumbnails from images. Also there is the GD and Imagick extensions of PHP that can generate the thumbnail version of images either in realtime or manually.
You see, Doctor, God didn't kill that little girl. Fate didn't butcher her and destiny didn't feed her to those dogs.
If God saw what any of us did that night he didn't seem to mind. From then on I knew... God doesn't make the world this way.
We do.
