[TUT] How to fix your VCW [TUT]

This tutorial will get your VCW working flawlessly. I tried EVERYTHING on this forum. I tried endless versions of flash, all failed and instantly closed. Chrome would not work, despite any version of flash. Being a web developer, I use my localhost A LOT. Suddenly, working on a project for someone a light bulb went off. Enjoy.

Step 1

Download XAMPP by clicking here and install it

Step 2

Once XAMPP is installed, run XAMPP Control Panel

Step 3

Where it says Apache, click Start. Make sure you exit skype before clicking start, skype blocks the port needed for apache and you will get an error. You can reopen skype once apache is started and it will work fine.

Step 4

Navigate to C:\xampp\htdocs and delete everything in the folder

Step 5

Take the VCW you want to use and change it to the girls name and put it in the htdocs folder

Step 6

Open google chrome and navigate to chrome://plugins and disable all versions of flash

Step 7

Download flash player 10.3.183.18 by clicking HERE and install it by running the flashplayer10_3r183_18_win.exe with the red flash icon

Step 8

Open google chrome and navigate to localhost/NAME OF VCW FOLDER

Step 9

Click EasyVCW-v1.51.swf and give it time, it should load by itself

TIPS (Click to View)
1. You can have multiple VCWs in the htdocs folder and basically keep a collection in there. Then to select one, navigate to the URL in chrome accordingly.
localhost/heather
localhost/racheal... etc

2. Always make sure skype or anything that blocks port 80 is closed before trying to start apache or you will get an error.
