I own a graphics shop here on HF, exactly here. I am planning on expanding my business and it's reach to more customers over HF. In order to do that effectively I need some business advice and strategies to get this done effectively.

All you have to do is,

1. Suggest me a business strategy that you think will work for sure and help me get my business booming.

Provide a free graphic contest maybe, our do a couple free graphic requests to show off your awesome skill. Have a special sale. Get one of those new tags when they come out. Hire people on commission to get outside requests or inside requests or something.

Definitely buy signature space, but don't spend a fortune on it as well. Have good sales and deals, and write an eye catching thread titles
. In addition, Omni introduced those nice sales tags, so that can be useful. Now, those are just the basic stuff. Your sales thread must be really good if it's a GFX service; first impression's the last inpression. Also, don't forget the reputable vouches. Provide support in different ways other than HF PM, eventually the word will go around and you'll get a ton of customers. Your graphics should be very good for the most part, haha.

From talking to friends who have tried to make a business in the graphics marketplace, the main problem they ran into was competition. In order to fix this, you either need to out advertise your competition (sig spaces, sticky threads, GFX giveaways where users use your sig for like 2 weeks and you pick a winner). Additionally, if you truly want to expand your business I would assume you have the quality of work to do it. Use that to your advantage and make people see how good of work you do. 3

What expands business in general is advertising your product. That means, buying a signature spaces, keeping your thread alive, being active in all sections (not just GFX marketplace, because it's not visited by many people). If you want, I can sell you my signature space once I'm upgraded, I'm pretty active in all sections.

I can suggest some:-

1. Free giveaway/Make some free signatures/Avatars- show how good you are and if you are good at it, people will give their reviews and can tell their friends to go with you.
2. Advertise your product - Buy some signature space or find people who are ready to put your signature by arranging some contest, get active on the each section of the forum.
3. Get some vouches by doing point 1.
4. You can enter in different type of contest/ contest of others- because most of people are active in the giveaways section and therefore you will generate the traffic as people will look your signature and can come to you.
5. Do the quality work/Help people/ Give opinions/ Be friendly and supportive - Point no. 2.

1. You got to spend money to make money. Make sure not only are you advertising with people but make sure you are advertising with the right people that means people that will actually recommend you when they are asked by a friend for gfx services.
2. I see you sort of have a portfolio but I would suggest making a wordpress site or something similar for a portfolio.

I would buy some signature spaces, I know that's already been said but if you want people to notice your service you're going to have to advertise it.
Offer to make close friends or people graphics who are need of one and if they see your quality, they'll vouch for your service and redirect people to your service in the future.
You've just got to advertise and get your product out there. I'm not really good with this sort of advice but you get out what you put in.
