Feel free to read my blabbering about how and why I did this, or simply just download the extension below.

Spoiler (Click to View)Whenever I'm looking for something simple that I can use to just download whatever video I'm watching, I default to Comodo Media Downloader. However, this is only available (officially) with their Dragon chromium-based browser, not in the chrome store. This isn't a problem for me, because I use that on my desktop anyway. However, their browser is only available for Windows, and my laptop is running Ubuntu. Of course I still have Chrome, but alas no media downloader, and a quick search of the chrome store returns nothing promising, so I pulled the extension from the application files on my desktop, and re-packed them so I can install the extension wherever I want it, not just on Windows. Long story short, here's the download for those of you who want it:
