The first one worked. I have to have the pictures that size. Now I have to tackle finding proportionate pictures that will fit the 800x300 box I have. Lol.

I already have the pictures I am using. I edited them in photoshop.

An Advice :

If you have a lot of images with the same properties, put a class="" in all of them like class="image_cool"

And on your file .css put this

.image_cool {
width:800px;
height:300px;
}

It's much better for you :D

And css inline is a bad pratice xD
