Making a DNS with freedns

1) Navigate to https://freedns.afraid.org/signup/ and make an account
2) navigate to http://freedns.afraid.org/subdomain/ and create a dns.
3) Change the Domain box to the one that you want and set the subdomain to the name you want your dns to have

4) you have created your DNS. We are done with the freedns website.

5) Download a windows client. There are many Freedns clients, if you want one you know is safe, you can download the one i made specificly for this guide (open source)

6) Log into the client and update your dns by right clicking and selecting update all. Every time your ip changes you will need to do this.




Darkcomet - Delphi

1) Click the blue bar that says "Darkcomet-RAT" in the top left of the software. Hover your mouse over "Server module" and select "Full editor (Expert)"

2) Another window will open, this is our build menu. The pages are displayed down the bottom left of the window.

2) In the "Main Settings" Window, it is recommended to use a security password. Dont forget it and dont use your password as you would for a website.
3) The "Network" page. This is where we will enter our DNS. for the port, choose something unique, goto random.org and generate a number between 1500 and 10000 and use the generated number as your port. Dont forget it!

4) Press the "Add" button beside the port box so it goes into the box below.
5) The "Module Startup" page. if you are using a crypter, make sure "Start the stub with windows" is unticked. if you are not, this page is optional.

"Drop file in": Where the file will copy its self to when executed.
"Melt": On execution, the file will delete its self and execute from the directory specified above.
"Change file creation date": The date that is displayed in the properites of the file.

6) The "Install message" page. This page is optional, this will show a messagebox when the file is executed.
7) The 'Module Shield" page. if you are using a crypter, untick everything on this page. if you are not using a crypter, this page is optional. i wont go into detail about this page as most things are explained on it.
8) The "Keylogger" page. This page is optional, enables the offline keylogger and FTP support.
9) The "Host Files" Page. i wont go into detail about it, ignore the page if you dont know what it is.
10) The "Add plugins" Page. i dont know of any Darkcomet plugins so i will be ignoring this page.
11) The 'File Binder" page. If you are using a crypter, this page can be ignored, most crypters have file binders. This page will allow you to attach another file to the darkcomet server, the file will run when the server is ran.
12) The "Choose Icon" Page. If you are using a crypter, ignore this page. This will set the icon for the outputted exe.
13) The "Stub Finalization" Page. Dont change any settings on this page.
14) Build the stub by pressing the "Build the stub" button on the bottom right of the window. Do not run the exe that you have just created, this is you dark comet server.
15) Listen on the port. do this by opening the "sockets/net" tab, right click and select "Add port to listen to". (Delete any extra ports by right clicking and select "disconnect socket")

16) If you set a security password, goto your darkcomet settings and enter it in the given space.




Nanocore - .Net dependencies

1) Open the build menu by clicking the "builder" menu and selecting "Builder settings"

2) The "Basic settings" tab. This is the tab where we will enter our dns and port.

"Default group": Leave it as default. its not nessasary to change.
"Primary Connection Host": The dns we created
"Backup connection host": Leave this as 127.0.0.1
"Connection port": goto random.org and generate a number between 1500 and 10000 and use the generated number as your port. Dont forget it!
"Skip User account control": This option is not necessary.
"Request process elevation on execute": Force server to be ran as admin
"Run client when the computer starts up": If you are using a crypter, untick this. This option is self explanitory.


3) The "Advanced Settings" tab. These options can be left as default. if you are using a crypter, untick "Clear zone identifier".
4) The "Dns Server Settings" tab. Leave the DNS provader set to google.
5) The "Assembly Settings" Tab. This is where you can set an icon for your server.
6) The "Notification Settings" Tab. This will show a message box when the server is executed.

7) Build your server, a message will show asking if you want to start listening on your port, select yes.

You don't "need" a DNS, but if your IP changes, your clients will still connect to you if you use one.
