[TUT]How to setup the Babylon RAT

How to setup the Babylon RAT

Introduction

Today I want to show you how to setup the Babylon Remote Administration Tool (Babylon RAT) with a DNS and without one.
For this Tutorial I'm using the newest version of Babylon (1.4.1).
If you don't know, if you have the newest version check the right corner of the GUI.

Which you can see here:

Preparation

DNS Part
Now you need to decide, if you want to use a DNS or not.
I would recommend a DNS, because it's safer than without one!
If you don't want to use it, you can skip this part. I wouldn't recommend using No-Ip, because it isn't safe anymore.
I can recommend FreeDNS and DuckDNS.
I will show you how to set up a DNS at FreeDNS.

First of all we need to create a Account which can be done here.
After you signed up you can start creating your subdomain. Just click on "Subdomains" or follow this link. Then you need to click on "Add a subdomain". Now you can create your subdomain.

Here are my settings:

Spoiler (Click to View)

Explanation:
Subdomain: You need to enter a name for your subdomain.
Domain: Choose a domain for your subdomain.
Destination: Here you need to put the IP you want to use "behind" this DNS (subdomain/domain).

VPN Part
At the VPN part you need to decide (again) if you want to use a VPN behind your DNS or not. If not, you can skip this part. I can recommend to use a VPN, because it "hides" your real IP. I can recommend 143VPN, because it has no logs and fast servers. If you want a more cheap VPN you can buy RA4W VPN, BUT I heard that they are/were unstable.

Main Part (Setting it up finally!)

Step 1: First of all turn off your Anti Virus and the firewall.
Step 2: Start the Babylon RAT.
Step 3: Add a port. You can add a port by clicking File, then Settings. You can find "File" in the top left corner of the GUI.
Step 4: Build a server. Remember to put the same key as the port key.
Step 5: Test it. If you want to close it easy, just uncheck "Hidden" and it will show a message in the right corner on the bottom.

Here is a screenshot of my settings:

Now you can test it. If you want to close it easy, just uncheck "Hidden" and it will show a message in the right corner on the bottom.

Explanation of the Builder tabs

Installation tab: Screenshot
Here you can choose if you want that Babylon should be installed on this system or not. It is used for auto start up on a system reboot too.

Process tab: Screenshot
Critical Process:
If the process is killed outside of Babylon it will cause a system wide crash.
Respawn Process:
If the process is killed outside of Babylon it will reestablish itself.
Instance Control:
Ensure there is only one instance of the client running running on the remote PC.
Other: Screenshot
Keylogger: Monitor your clients keystrokes both online and offline or watch your clients keystrokes as it types.

Do we have to download a client or anything for freedns? I set up everything and tested on myself and it works fine. But on the freedns site, when I click on "direct url" next to my domain, it shows me my real IP. Is it suppose to do that?
