Thats what I meant, just leave the test comp over night. Then take it home the next day.
yeah you could do this, my suggestion would be to get a raspberry pi and run kali linux on it, with an alfa wifi card to run the wifi network, use karma (i think thats what its called?) to make devices automatically connect to it, and just run 24/7 sslstrip and ettercap to sniff passwords?
getting this to work in walmart would be a different story. you'd need wifi, but i guess most walmarts have free mcdonalds wifi you could piggy-back off of. then you'd need a power source. but if you somehow got your RPI sniffer hidden in walmart, powered and connected to wifi, you could also ssh into it from home and retrieve the sslstrip & ettercap logs. just a crazy idea.

Yeah a powerbank would be good for going mobile, you can get some big batteries that can make the RPI run for however long you want. Wifi pineapple used to offer a pack that was meant for leaving outside on top of roofs etc and was weather resistant and could run for 24-48 hours. But for a stationary RPI plugging into a power outlet would probably be best.
Do what you want lol ? You won't get the plain text passwords just by using Wireshark, though.
