I think Camtasia studio is the best. I've have experience with it and I must say that it's very good.
Obs is decent and so is Camtasia
I personally use Krut Screen Recorder b/c its light weight
I personally have used Camtasia Studio in the past, worked great for me.
Look for a crack of Camtasia studio I used it before work great.
The real question is, are you ok downloading a Torret for the pro version or will you stay with the free version?.

Camstesia / hypercam are really good if you configure it right buddy :)
Personally use fraps, it's okay i guess.
Camtasia's really good if you're a beginner/intermediate. You'll pick up the skills fairly quickly too.
I'll say Camtasia Studio.
I used it a few times to record some tutorials about Photoshop a while back. Flawless.
Same thing as most are recommending. I use Camtasia to record things I do on my desktop.
Fraps/Dxtory for games. Camtasia Studio 8 for PC screen.
Dont use fraps, just, no, it gives low frame rates, super large file sizes, its just generally not that great.
I used to use it then i switched to OBS, it gives exactly same quality (if not, better) and almost no frame rate drop ingame, and much smaller file sizes.
