I was recently scammed by the user BooGod (UID: 1125635) for $203.98 worth of CS:GO items. He claims his account was compromised, but I find this unlikely based on the circumstances, even so, his account is his responsibility, a number of members have agreed with me, including Factor8.

I wasn't entirely sure if I was in the wrong by creating a scam report but prior to posting this thread, I had contacted Factor8 and had spoken to numerous members regarding the matter.
I feel that this user could've easily blagged his way out of it and claimed that he'd be hacked, maybe his account was genuinely breached but in this situation, I feel that his account was his responsibility and that if he had used common sense instead of getting infected and not changing his e-mail/pass making any attempt to warn people that his account had been breached, you can see here that when trust-scanning the user, you can see that Gauth was not activated and he had no e-mail change along with 1 sign in from the same country.

I'd also like to add that he had attempted to scam Isabelle, proof will be added later.

I must leave for school, I will post updates along with a log of the current conversation that we're having via Skype whenever I'm home.

In conclusion, I would not recommend dealing with this user.

Edit: He claimed that he was going to refund the money but refused to even pay a small amount of it and is now ignoring me.

My computer is still infected, but I am not using it just smartphone and my brothers computer.
I please ask the OP to add to the thread the username skype of the all skype accounts he have talk with doing this deal. And I would like to know the profile of the user who received that items (the steam profile).

I will later in any way to pay OP for this. I did not this deal and it was not me, but I want to clear my name since it was from my account. But I will fuck up the member who did infected me.

I can also confirm the user in question did contact me on the same day as the victim. He PM'd me on HF telling me to add his skype "boogod.hf". It was quite obvious he attempted to scam me right off the bat, offering me $150 up front for my knife while the highest offer was only $70 prior, and the market price is only about $120. In addition to this he stated I had to go first or find a middleman, and after saying I'd be using Package or another he stopped replying.

I didn't feel like I needed to open a scam report since I wasn't actually scammed, and by the end of the day he had vacation banned himself. There's no doubt about the fact that someone with access to his account scammed gunishment and attempted to scam others, however whether or not it was actually boogod himself isn't provable yet, but it does seem fishy.

It'd be nice if Boogod reimbursed the above poster, considering the fact that he's responsible for his account and he certainly has the funds to payback what was stolen. However he certainly isn't "entitled" to pay it back, but it'd be a nice gesture and certainly prove a point to the fact that he wasn't behind it. Just my two-five cents.

I believe you have the responsibility to look after your own account anyone could make up they was compromised.

And yes, I am taking the responsability Casino. I am just fucked up I will never more deal with anyone on here. Members infecting members and doesn't get ban, staff can check the IP's and messages that were deleted and nothing can do. So yes, I am very fucked up and I am trying to fix this.

@Isabelle I never used the vocation ban, and I never was banned till yesterday because I asked Viral Dragon to do so.

the red flags that it was a scam were pretty blatant when he talked to me. I guess he learned his lesson after I declined and tried to be a bit more convincing about it.

Honestly at that point, I'd say just back up the important documents and reformat.

But yeah, I did look through your profile when the hijacker was messaging me and thought it was very odd that "you" had never trying to buy or sell cs:go items in the past, and were suddenly very interested in buying everyone's items.

Just curious, did you add him on Skype around the same time as he sent you the message? If not, I'm going to say that there is actually room for someone to take his Skype in that time without it being completely ironic.
